Angel came back, looking extremely guilty and dumbfounded. I know what is coming, and sure enough, she says,
"I'm really sorry, but it was for real, but I've had a word with the authorities, and they have said that they will put on fake things for people to do in the future, but they send their regret, and they said that you did very well in your test, and in fact, got full marks! Don't worry though, I'm sure he won't mind, if you tell him, I'm sure he will understand that you tried as hard as you could to keep him alive; and he might have even got fed up with life, so it was good that he died. And anyway, if he doesn't understand, for all I care, he can go to hell!!!" I say,
"Thanks, that has helped a lot. I'll talk to him when he comes, but can you be there too?"
"Of course!!!" she exclaims. "But remember, he might not even come here, he might be a bad person, so he might go to hell!"
"OK" I say.
"Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooooooooooh!!! He's coming!"
"Oh. Hang on- how do you even know what he looks like?"
"The authorities showed me."
"Oh damn it! Hide me! Please!"
"No"
"What?!!! Why?"
"Because you've got to face up to your fears!"
"Why did I have to get you as a guide? You don't do what I want to do!"
"That's because we're not supposed to all the time!" Angel says, obviously hurt by my comment.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
"That's ok; but go and face up to him, it's important!"
I start to walk up to him.
"H-h-hi"
"Hi!" he says back cheerfully, holding up his hand "My name is Tom. What's yours?"
"I'm Cecilia, you can call me Cecil. But anyway, I need to tell you something"
"Really? But I've barely met you!"
"Yes, but it was my fault you died. I'm so sorry."
"No, it wasn't your fault, you couldn't have stopped it! It was actually-"
"NO! I could've stopped it; I was the one who was watching over you when it happened!"
"-my choice... yes, I wanted to end my life. I was tired, nobody listened to me, and that man was the only man who did."
"Oh. ... ANGEL!!!"
"Aha?"
"You can be Tom's guide now. I'll go and ask if I can start my new job!"
"Ok. Meet up with you later!"
"Sure!"
I'm afraid that this is the end of the Guide, so, maybe I'll see you in heaven one day.
