Chapter 16

How we rock each others world

Faith's POV

I sat curled up in this basement, it was dark, damp, and cold. There was one window, but it was the kind where you could see out but no-one can see in. Honestly I didn't know why he kidnapped me, he hasn't hurt me, or.....used me so why am i here? They haven't fed me much, just the minimal to keep me living. I'm not sure how many days its been, probably about two months. I sighed and sat criss-cross on the tiny mattress that was in the corner, which was basically all that was down here. I heard whispering upstairs, and then the door opened and i could hear footsteps coming down the stairs. "she's right in there" the man said. I looked up to see a girl "who are you?" I whispered, my voice cracking from the lack of using it. She smirked "well if you cooperate than I'm your ticket out of here, but if not. I'm your worst nightmare" She said.

I nodded "Ok and what do I need to do?" I asked. "your going to call Keaton and tell him that he needs to follow the instructions that are waiting for him in the mailbox" I nodded slowly "ok?" She handed me a phone "oh and reveal ANY information about where we are? and your boys in trouble" She added. I picked up the phone and shakily dialed the number i knew by heart. It rang 3 times before he answered "hello?" He asked, he sounded tiered. "Keaton.....its faith" I whispered the last part. For a couple moments there was no response "Keaton?" I asked. "is it really you?" He asked. I bit my lip "yea babe it is, listen i don't have long to talk bu-" "where are you??" He cut me off, and asked. "Keaton i cant say right now, but i need you to do something for me" I told him. "anything" He replied. "go to the mailbox and follow the instructions inside, if you do that they are going to release me" I explained.

"alright i will, babe i promise i will do anything to get you back. I lo-" the line went dead. I looked over and the girl had unplugged the phone from the wall. I looked her straight in the eye and then something sunk in "what does he have to do?" I asked, afraid of the answer. "first he has to get Simon to sign me, give me $1,000" those didn't scare me to much, well the money did but the signing didn't. "and...?" I asked. This is where the smirk returned "he has to dump you and date me" My heart dropped into my stomach, so even if got out of here, i was going to be out without Keaton. I felt tears slipping and the girl just laughed "are you crying?" she asked, and looked at me as if i was pitiful. I glared "your about to take the boy i love away from me and your asking me if I'm crying? you are sick!" I spat. She rolled her eyes before leaving. The tears turned to anger and i screamed, before punching the wall. Sure it hurt like heck, but at the moment I was a bit preoccupied to care

Keaton's POV

I put the phone down and tried to wrap my brain around what just happened. Drew walked in the room "who was that?" he asked, kinda monotone. That's how all of us were lately, dull because our light was missing. None of us realized it before this but faith was the light in our group. "it was faith" I said quietly. I heard a smash and whipped my head around to see that he had dropped his mug and was staring at me "what did you say" he asked. "it was faith, she....she told me to check the mail for instructions, and if we do them she'll be released" I explained "GO CHECK THE MAIL!!! ill get the others!!" he yelled. I nodded and ran out of my seat to the mailbox, after shuffling through all of it i found the one i was looking for.

When i got inside everyone was at the table looking at me expectantly. I nervously pulled out the thin piece of paper, and there was 4 things written on it

Hello Keaton, I'm going to keep this simple if you want faith back complete these 3 things and i will bring faith to your show at the hard-rock

1) get Simon to sign me

2)give me $1,000 cash

3)dump faith and date me, publicly

I read everyone the letter "I guess i have to do it" I said. They nodded and wes pulled out his phone "i'll call Simon" He said. He left for a moment "wait! Iv got the solution!" cristal said. We all looked at her "what is it?" malibu asked. "well what if you put lots of security cameras around, and have security waiting in another room, get her to confess without knowing it and they can arrest her!" She said. I thought it over, if we were sneaky enough that might just work. "your a genius!" i said and hugged her. I got to work calling the police to set everything up, i am just praying to god that this works and that this doesn't backfire in my face
