Shadow part 2

I looked at Eggman shocked "that shouldn't be possible we killed him Sonic and I defeated him why do i feel like someone else helped us stop him" my head began to pound trying to remember "agh, damn it!" I hold my head "anyways we killed him when he and Iblis formed Solaris" I winced at the pain in my head Maria rubbed my head softly and put her head on my shoulder. I smiled softly and looked up at Eggman "That's what I thought so too but we were wrong Shadow, He's aliv-" the tracker began beeping and Eggman turned around clacking away at his keyboard. "These signatures they're out of control, what's going on here?!" eggman was panicking "Shadow, his life energy it's surpassing maximum capacity!" I look at him wide eyed "What do you mean Doctor?" He removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes and put his glasses back on "his previous potential of power is nothing compared to what it is now, his potential for power is sky rocketing at this point he's more powerful that the god Solaris itself." I was in total shock. "Shadow? What's wrong?" Maria looked at me concerned "I'll return doctor" I pulled maria away from the control room and walked out to the observation deck with her staring at the stars and Earth below us. "You've been gone for so long you haven't been around to know whats been going on, Sonic and I and a third person fought a god named Solaris who's goal was to destroy this world and create a new one in it's place, one where it ruled." She looked at me wide eyed and amazed "How did you survive a god shadow?" she asked innocently "well with our three powers combined from our super forms we managed to stop him not only that but from the help of our friends too, if not for them we couldn't have gone super and stopped them." She looked at the Earth below us and looked back at me "so what did this Mephiles guy have to do with anything?" I had flash back of Mephiles and his words that tried to mold me to kill off humanity "He and a divine beast called Iblis combined there power to become the god Solaris, originally Solaris was supposed to be a good god one people looked up to but both their evil natures made the god corrupt." She looked up at me with innocent amazed eyes and looks back at the stars "this world really is amazing" I nod softly and she puts her hand on top of mine and blushes softly I look at her and blush softly "hey Shadow in the time we were together, did you...ever love me..?"

I blush at those words "I'd be lying if I said i didn't" she blushes and hugs me tightly "I love you Shadow the Hedgehog" She closes her eyes and leans up to kiss me her lips mere inches from mine and I put my hand on her lips covering her mouth and sigh softly "I can't do that Maria, I did love you but my heart it fell for somebody else, somebody I'm engaged too." she looked at me shocked and her eyes began to water before I could try to comfort her she ran away crying. I sigh and hold my head shaking it softly "I'm sorry Maria, that's just the way it is" I teleport in front of her and she bumps into my chest I hold her close and hug her tight I lift her chin softly and kiss her forehead softly. "I love you Maria but I'm not in love with you" She sniffles and hides her face in my chest fur and I stroke her hair softly she looks up at me and kisses my cheek. "Thank you Shadow" she lets go of me softly and walks over to the control room, I pull up my communicator and tell Omega about whats been happening so far and then end transmission. As i walked towards the control room I felt an explosion under me and ran in to see Doom's Eye holding Maria's lifeless body and a dead doctor Eggman on the floor in front of the computer. My eyes widen and I could feel the fire burning in them I charge up a chaos spear in my hand and rush at Doom's eye he laughs and pushes me with an invisible force against the wall. "Hello Shadow" I growl and grit my teeth "you mother fucker! I'll kill you again and again over and over how dare you fucking touch her! I'll fucking slaughter you for what you've done!" he laughs more "You're in no position to say that look at you pinned against the wall like a helpless rat about to be torn apart by an owl, I've got to say your little friend Mephiles is a good ticket out if Hell. I revived him and in turn he pulled me out of Hell and now we're on the search for Iblis we'll create a new form of god with the power of a devil and the power of a god we'll be unstoppable!" he laughs maniacally and slams me against the wall over and over and over again I felt my ribs and spine cracking under the force and pressure. I coughed up blood and my vision was blurring I couldn't keep holding on like this "fuck it" I say weakly my power inhibitors popped off and I growled "I'm sorry for not saving you two.. Especially you again Maria.. CHAOS BLAST" a massive amount of chaos energy surged through my body breaking the bones that were cracked burning the clothing off of me and creating a massive explosion destroying everything in a burst of pure energy. "What?! What?! No!" The ark blew up and I was sent flying towards the Earth rendered unconcious and not knowing where I would land, the last thought I had before impact was Amy.
