Throw me a rope to tie up
this Siren, for her carols are
starting to curdle in our ears.
Hand me a handcuff to imprison
this Leviathan, so its shadow
shalt not cover this sky.
Give me a sword to slay
this Hydra, for her three faces
create this mask of flame.
Toss me a drain to dry the
ocean, so rainbows shall not
drown in their black and white.
Hurl me a lightswitch to
turn off these stars, so I
can shine their light in his soul.
Send me a piece of your
heart, so when I give mine to you,
I'll have something left.
Tie a noose around my neck,
for my throat constricts
upon the sights my eyes show me,
images of you and her.
Cover my ears when you scold me,
and give an angry shout
when I try to open your curtains.
Perhaps, I should stop
giving you the universe,
and just a piece
of
my
mind
instead?
