Based on the interview where Rydel made her redhead comment a few months ago. :)

“I guess I better go dye my hair red.” I immediately froze. I sensed the guys tense up around me. I definitely did not intend to say that aloud. “What was that?” one of the guys asked, clearly trying to turn my slip-up into a joke. I felt Rocky’s hand clamp onto my shoulder. “Oh these two.” He joked tersely, shaking me slightly. I didn’t hear another word that came out of the interviewer’s mouth. I was too busy mentally kicking myself. How could I have been so careless? Ell and I were supposed to be keeping our relationship a secret. Rydellington fans were going to have a field day with that comment. Most of our little ‘moments’ that had been caught on camera recently had been easy to brush off; this one certainly wouldn’t be. After the interview was over I immediately stood up, intending to make my way to the dressing room as quickly as possible. “Freeze.” Riker said bluntly. I stopped in my tracks and turned around slowly. He, Ross, and Rocky were all staring at me, arms crossed. Ellington was nowhere to be seen. “What was that?” Rocky asked simply. I groaned and sat down cross-legged on the floor. “I don’t know.” I moaned, burying my face in my hands. I felt someone come to sit beside me. I glanced out of the corner of my eye; Riker was staring at me sympathetically. “Guys could you give us a minute?” he asked quietly, not looking away from me. Ross & Rocky obligingly nodded and left the room. I felt tears prickle at the corners of my eyes. I rested my head on my knees and wrapped my arms around my legs. “I’m sorry.” I whispered. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me closer. “Delly, you didn’t do anything wrong.” He said quietly. I shook my head again. “Yes I did. Ell’s been really clear that he wants to keep everything on the DL. I just blew it, big time.” I moaned. I felt a few tears slip out and roll down my cheeks. Riker tugged on my shoulder until I lifted my head to face him. “Rydel, I know Ellington just as well as you do. He isn’t going to be upset. It was an accident.” I wiped away a few stray tears. “He’s gonna hate me.” I sniffled. “I don’t hate you.” That all-too-familiar voice spoke up behind us. I jumped and whirled around; Ell was standing behind us. I leapt to my feet. Riker did the same, moving a bit slower than I. “I’ll be with the guys.” He said, giving me a reassuring smile before heading off in the direction Ross & Rocky had gone a few minutes earlier. I ran my fingers nervously through my hair. “Ell, I’m so sorry.” I said quietly. He shook his head and stepped closer. “It’s ok babe, you didn’t mean to.” He assured me. I shook my head as well. “I know you wanted to keep everything quiet for a while, since you just recently broke up with Kelly. I can’t believe I let that slip-” He closed the space between us in seconds and pressed his lips to mine, instantly quieting me. It wasn’t our first kiss, but I could definitely say it was now one of my favorites. “Rydel, I don’t care.” He whispered once our lips parted. His nose brushed mine gently. “I don’t want to hide anymore. It’s not fair to you.” I wrapped my arms around his waist. “I don’t want anyone to think I was the reason you broke up with Kelly.” I said, frowning. He laughed lightly. “Well to be fair, you kind of were.” He joked. I couldn’t contain the giggled that slipped from my lips. Ellington grinned. “There’s that smile I love so much.” He quickly pecked my lips once more. I tightened my arms around his waist and laid my head against his shoulder. “I love you.” He whispered, wrapping his arms around me tightly as well. I nuzzled farther into his chest. “I love you too.”
