Over the past week Kyle has been nicer towards me or not as rude as he was when he first met me anyway. It's become a common thing for him to join us in the run to school which makes me more sceptical about 'my souffer was late' excuse.
Selina has invited me to this apparently 'huge' party tonight at the beach hut cafe, which is on a beach lol. Ive been hesitant to go and I've never been to a late night party before but since I've been so stressed lately with exams , maybe this party will help my stress go away for a while.
Deciding what to wear was a difficult decision but knowing that all your school friends are going to be there makes it 10x harder! I decide to go for this tight pink skirt that is just above my knee and a white frilly blouse that was off the shoulder. I tucked it in so it would compliment my waist. That was the outfit sorted. I then did some blending on my eyes with some brown eye shadow and added some gold underneath this always made my blue eyes stand out. My hair is naturally curly so I decided to straighten it , which always makes me look older. I slip into my black sandals which have a small heal and notice that Selina is waiting for me. I say bye to my parents and hop into the car.
Once we get out of the car the warm sea breeze hits me. And the bright lights of the beach hut cafe are unmissable. Why wouldn't anyone have a party here? It's awesome! As we enter the cafe I get greeted by a few people which is a bit strange since I don't talk to them at school but maybe that's how it is at party's. People forget there school label and just socialise more. Selina goes over to get us some drinks and I'm left in the crowd.
"Cara?" I hear a guy say. I turn around and see it's James. He lives on my lane aswell and is a couple of years older than me. We used to hang out when we were little and my parents knew his parents so we went over to each other's houses a lot.
"Why are you here?" I say smiling, we've always been good friends but it's been about two years since we've spoke.
"I was invited" he's smiling aswell. I already knew the answer, he knows some of the 'popular' kids in my year. James was also a very handsome guy, he was tall had similar hair to Kyle and I was shocked to see he had muscles aswell.
"Wow since when have you had muscles" I say pointing at his bisceps
He laughs "Its been two years since we've spoken or even seen each other , I'm a changed guy , no more junk food I live on a healthy died now and work out" he flexes his muscles
"Speaking of appearances, where did that booty come from!" He says acting shocked
I burst out laughing " Oh shut up"
Side to side comes on so I couldn't resist dancing with him. He had some great moves. I didn't know what I looked like but it didn't matter no one was watching us. A couple of songs have been played now and I have no idea where Selina has gone.
"What's wrong?" James says looking a little concerned
"Oh nothing I just don't know where my friend is, she was supposed to be getting drinks"I couldn't spot her at the counter either. Then I glance near the stairs and she's talking to fynn, this guy she's had a crush on since time began.
"Oh never mind I better not interrupt her" pointing towards her. James nods
"Do you wanna get out of this crowded place" does this guy ever stop smiling
"Yeah good idea" we head out of the back of the hut and go onto the beach, there are tables spread all over the sand so we pick one and sit down.
"So your in year 11 now right?" He asks
"Yes and it's the most stressful year of my life" feeling envious of him who has already done his GCSE's
"Ah yes I remember those days like yesterday" he laughs "Arent your tests in like a month?"he takes a sip of his beer
