From Revenge To Love

CHAPTER:11 COINCIDENCE

Recap:
She completed her work and went home with Navya and finished all her chores left in the house.

Both Nandini and Navya were busy cleaning the house when Navya suddenly shouts," NANDU HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? WHY THE HELL ARE YOU VACCUMING THE COUCH AND CUSHIONS?"

"I'm sorry .I wasn't paying attention."

Navya saw Nandini's tensed face and got worried and asked out of concern," What happened Nandini? You look tensed."

" Today I met Raj uncle, the industrial accident victim."

"That's nice, you guys were good friends."

"Yeah, but...",Nandini told Navya about her meeting with Raj." but this is not good for us,  we might fall weak because of him, as I can't hurt him and Manik is his son."

"Look Nandini, we are not hurting Manik, okay ?I know we talked about taking revenge for Alya but are main motive is to find out the entire truth behind the breakup and find all the missing pieces. You and I both know that a girl like Alya won't leave Manik without asking for closure. "

" I don't know but I can't even back off. I have seen Manik, he might be arrogant but I don't think he is a cheat."

"Lets forget about them for a while and let's plan an amazing house warming partyyyy.", Navya fell on the couch with a thud and winked at Nandini.

"Yeah lets have dinner with my family and maybe we can invite Raj uncle too."

"Umm, Would it be a good idea to invite Mr. Raj?", Navya said with concern lacing her voice.

"Yeah. I just want to spend time with my loved ones." Nandini shook her head erasing any doubtful thoughts from her mind and laying beside Navya while putting some shitty movie on.

Malhotra industries

Nandini and Navya went to their respective cabins to work .While Nandini reached her cabin , she saw Manik's assistant, Rahul standing near the door waiting for her .

As soon as he saw her , he gave her a quick smile and gestured her to enter her cabin.

"Hello ! Ms. Murthy, Manik sir has been asking for you to discuss about a project, so be their at 10

"I will be their in his office by 10."

"That's great."

As soon as Rahul left Nandini got busy with the her work. It was almost 10 when Nandini exited her cabin and headed towards Manik's cabin. 

Before she entered, she heard something breaking inside the cabin, she could not control her urge to look what's happening, so, she peeped inside the cabin and saw Manik yelling on his phone and suddenly he throws the paper weight on the floor letting it crash on the floor breaking into pieces in the process giving a huge cut on his hand. 

Before Nandini could register anything Manik saw her and harshly pulled her in through her arms , making her wince in pain and horror. Manik soon realised what he did and calmed him self down but shouted at Nandini," What the hell do you think ? Don't you have manners , have your parents not taught you anything? You do not eavesdrop on someone.

Nandini unable to control her tears, she spoke with a choked voice," I..I  didn't mean to, I just came because your assistant asked me to."

Manik realised his mistake and apologised profusely and proposed to postpone the meeting, whilst sending Nandini home.

Nandini didn't know whether she was angry or hurt ,she just wanted to go home and prepare for the party. Nandini packed her stuff and quickly went to Raj's cabin to invite him to the party.

Raj was surprised to see Nandini here but was more shocked to see a dull and sad Nandini , he had always considered her like his daughter and couldn't control his urge to ask her why she was sad. Nandini's  heart swelled up by seeing his concern but didn't want to tell him about her encounter with Manik, so instead she made an excuse and extended her invitation for the house warming party.

She was waiting for Rishab, her older brother , when Navya entered from office and she gestured her to change and got her a glass of water. 

They both went out of the house as they heard the car's horn.The small little family drove away to the restaurant to celebrate

At the restaurant

" You all get down. I need to park the car." 

"okay Rishab, but come fast. For the first time Nandu is giving us a treat, I want to have a great feast." 

After a little nagging and leg pulling they all got off the car and went inside the restaurant waiting for Rishab and Nandini's friends. In the meantime, Nandini And Navya went to washroom .

Soon Rishab entered the booth following Raj, having some sort of conversation.

"Dad! He is Raj Malhotra, the man I was talking about. We were planing to collaborate with him." 

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Malhotra. You seem familiar, have we met before?"

Raj faking disappointment said," I thought you would recognise me, Arjun, bastard. You forgot your best friend , for heaven's sake, we were in the same college , same batch . I will not forgive you for this , I recognised you the moment I saw you."

"I am so sorry, this oldage has gotten the better of me. Apart from that even you have changed a lot. Chuck that, come on give me a hug." Arjun, NAndini's dad exclaimed.

"So you are the one, about whom Arjun never stops talking about." Sakshi adds. 

"Yes, I am the infamous Raj. By the way how are you? I am sorry I couldn't meet you because apparently I wasn't invited to your wedding?"

"You were the one who vanished into thin air as soon as we completed college."

 " I'm sorry to interrupt  but where is your wife ?"

"She ...she is gone to New York for a meeting ."Seeing Raj stammer Arjun feels a little suspicious and decides to ask him later about the problem .

By that time Nandini and Navya got back and Nandini saw that Raj was already seated. She gestured towards him and started to introduce him, When her mother told her that they already knew and all the back story. She was shocked and told the story about how the both of them had met. This came to be a big but a pleasant surprise for the entire family and Raj himself. 

"Life is like a stage , where we enact our role and then make a exit but then it depends on destiny to make us meet again ..
We all have different shades ...that are so colourful that we also don't know about them , but their is only one person that knows about all our shades and that is whom we love and it can even be the closest friend or even a strange who can one day become our soul mate "
