"Mione!" This was the only word which came out of my mouth
"I'm s...so...sorry" Mione sobbed
"Mione why?"
"Hermione I think she needs explanation" Ginny said
Yes, it was true, I wanted to know why all this stuff was hidden from me... I needed an explanation.
"Y..y..yes" Mione sobbed again
"Here ma'am, take a glass of water" Steve handed her water, Mione smiled and drank. I just sat there quietly, I didn't knew what to think or what to say, I didn't even knew who I am.
"Kathy, your mother was a very brave woman. You were nine when the dark elves attacked, we fought them, but we knew our fighting won't provide a permanent remedy" Hermione said.
"Hermione searched hours and hours in library, sometimes she even slept there, just to find a way to finish them. Finally in an abandoned library, she found a book which had a solution. Like I was the chosen one to defeat Lord Voldemort, there had to be a chosen veela. Your mother, was the chosen veela"
"We had to find the chosen veela somehow, we didn't knew how, but your aunt Luna helped us. She always had a fantasy for strange things and there she had a speaking diary. The dairy was of Professor Dumbledore, the dairy was a living legend. The process of finding the chosen one was simple, she had to be a pure veela plus very intelligent and beautiful." Mione continued Harry.
"First we thought it would be difficult" Gin continued "However, it was simple because there weren't many pure veela's left. Your mother was a pure veela, she was the most beautiful and the most intelligent one. When we met her you were nine and you also were a veela, a pure veela. Your real father wasn't Crouch, he was someone else, whom we learned, had died when you were four."
"Ginny went to talk to her and explained her the whole thing, obviously she wasn't unaware of the fact that she was the chosen veela but she, however, wasn't ready for this because you were still a kid. Gin promised that we would take care of till the fight was over."
"Your mother discovered the technique which she had to use to kill the leader, but she wouldn't tell anyone. The whole discovery thing took her eight months. When finally the time came, she created an illusion so that no one could see the right thing, which was a bad move. But yes, as the dawn came, so did your mother, she had killed the dark elf, how, no one knows. When she came back she had black patches all over her body. She collapsed, but she was alive."
Ron stopped, everyone stopped, Mione knew that silence wasn't good so she continued.
"After a few minutes, the leader's wife came up. She accused your mother to be a traitor and cursed you mother that she will live forever with the guilt and if somehow she died, the curse would transfer to you. Somewhere between the curse, your mother died, and you got cursed to live forever, to be immortal. As your mother died, the lady also committed suicide."
"We went to her town to inform everyone that she was dead. We thought that we should collect some valuable things in the memory of your mother, so we visited her cottage. No one was there, you were in my house with Ginny. As we collected things, we found a note. We read that and collected it because it was only meant for you."
"We cleared your memory because it was the best, we had no other option, as you would always wake up crying and no one could see you cry. You were and are our darling. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry" Mione ended following Harry.
I just stared at them. My emotions were swirling. Mione had taken care of me as a sister even though I wasn't related to her.
"Mione," she looked up, she had stopped sobbing. The whole explanation thing had hurt her the most. "I love you" I went and hugged her.
They had expected me to overreact, but I didn't. If anyone who cared about me the most was Mione.
"Do you have the letter Mione?"
"Yes" "Winky can you?"
"Winky will bring the letter "
Winky apparated. I knew it would take some time to bring the letter so I told Mione and everyone to go home. They didn't wanted to, but I insisted so they agreed. Mione, Ron and Harry apparated first together. Gin waited, she kissed me and turned back to go.
"Gin"
"Hmmm?"
"You'll can't help, can you'll ?"
"Everyone can't help you sweetheart. Previously they thought that attacking the magical world would be beneficial as they would have got the ultimate access to the muggle world. This time they'll attack the muggles. Showing up the Wizards in the war would result to an actual devastation of everything magical dear, everything. You can help because you have powers which some humans also have like the people here who are helping you. But still if you need any help, just call us. We'll always be there, OK?"
I nodded. Ginny smiled and walked away.
I felt my energy drain. No one said anything. I didn't wanted to speak I just wanted to think about everything. Suddenly, I thought, was it because of my veela thing that Dean loved me, was he only attracted to me because I was a veela??? I didn't knew...
