Cassie's POV
That Dan boy... He- something wasn't right about him...

He looked at me strangely. But that's something I can ask him later...

Anyway, we were walking up to the "base" thing the others set up while Enis and I were getting berries and being attacked. The others saw us coming and gave us some weird looks, seeing as I was still on Enis's back.

Dan's POV
Enis and Cassie came back after I gathered some firewood. Cassie had her arms around Enis's neck and her head on his shoulder. He held her legs and a sack with his arms. I questioned it at first but brushed it aside.

Cassie's head snapped up and she looked up. My eyes followed her gaze,

Full moon...

"I'm gonna go check something real quick," I say, and I run off. It was rather scary as I was afraid of trees in the dark. They couldn't know my secret. I just wasn't comfortable with people knowing this part of me.

I ran off without thinking to explain myself.

Cassie's POV
"I'm gonna go check something real quick," that's all I heard before Dan ran off. I got off of Enis's back and turned to Phil, who sighed looking down at the dirt.

"How many times has this happened?" I asked him. Clearly, this wasn't the first time Dan has done this.

"It started about a year ago, he would just run off," his eyes never left the ground.

My teeth began to change into those of a wolf's and my body turned into the same blue and white dog form. 'I'm gonna go check on him. There are some questions I need answered,' I mentally told Phil. He looked toward me and realized I had telepathically spoke to him.

He nodded and started to look worried,"but please, Dan is terrified of trees in the dark, can I come with you?"

'Of course! I might need some extra help,' I answered him. He smiled and we strutted into the trees.

(amazingly, a time skip!)

We decided to split up and meet up after half an hour. This way, we could find Dan faster. And I might be able to ask Dan some questions privately...

I found a small clearing and found a small figure in a corner, whimpering.

I slowly walked up to it on my four paws. It seemed to be another werewolf. It had brown fur and was significantly taller than me. And it had brown eyes that looked familiar. I know I've seen them before...

The wolf looked up at me and its eyes widened with fear. 'What do you want Cassie?!' It would've screamed if it said it out loud.

'How do you know my name?' I asked it.

'It's me- it's me, Dan,' he looked back down at the ground and his ears went backwards. I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. Was there anything to be said? 'Promise you won't tell them?' He stared at me with hopeful eyes.

'Of course. Being a werewolf isn't all that fun, I understand if you don't feel comfortable sharing it yet.' I answered, putting a paw on his. I got up and started to walk away. 'And Dan,' I started,'You have to at least tell Phil sooner or later. He worries about you'

I walked off. I'll just tell Phil that Dan will be back in the morning and I'll take the full night shift, I thought to myself. I howled and ran to meet Phil.

Yami's POV
I woke up in the middle of the night and walked out of the cave. I just couldn't sleep knowing that Cassie was still out there somewhere. I needed to know that she was safe.

I suddenly heard a howl and immediately recognized it as Cassie's. I smiled. She's fine on her own. I just wanted to say sorry and then she would be off. A werewolf on her own. I felt almost complete.

Once I said sorry would I be complete...
