Tristan's Point of View:
I stand frozen after hearing what Dr. Matthews had to say. I must be hearing things. He couldn't have said what I thought I heard.
"Can you repeat that please?" I asked in a daze.
"She's pregnant," he repeats glancing down at the sheet of paper in his hand.
I turn to look at Jessica to see a big smile on her face. I want to return the smile, I really do but I worry that her morning sickness might be a little too much for her. Her smile quickly leaves her face when she sees the frown on mine. Taking a deep breath she turns to face Dr. Matthews.
"Can you give us a minute alone?" she asks softly avoiding eye contact with me.
The doctor nods before leaving.
She slowly pulls away from me as soon as the door closes. She walks over to the other side of the room and turns to face me. She stares at me for a while before looking away.
"What's wrong?" she asks looking back at me.
"Your pregnant," I whisper oblivious to what she says before.
"Your upset because I'm pregnant," she all but yells once again turning away from me.
"What....no" I say getting up and walking over to her.
I gently turn her to face me, my heart breaks when I see the tears in her eyes. I pull her in a tight embrace running my hand through her soft silky hair.
"I want this baby," I whisper to her.
"Really?" she asks looking up at me as a single tear slips from her right eye.
I gently wipe the tear away before crashing my lips to hers. I nibble on her bottom lip which earns a gasp from her. I take this opportunity to thrust my tongue inside her mouth. She moans softly as I pull away from her.
"Really"
Jessica's Point of View:
I'm pregnant.
Right now I'm sitting in Tristan's office looking at the picture of my baby. He/she isn't all that grown yet but I couldn't help myself. I just had to have a picture.
I can feel eyes on me, I know it is Tristan because I can feel the tingles that shoots through my arms all the way from here.
Without looking his way I ask
"Why are you staring at me like that?"I look up at him to see a sexy smirk on his face.
"Can't I look at the mother of my child?" he asks cockily.
"Of course you can," I whisper huskily slowly walking over to him.
He gasps as I sit on his lap, his arms wraps themselves around my waist. I slowly trail my hands from his chest up to cling around his neck. I smile to myself as I feel him shudder underneath me.
"Then what's the problem?" he asks his voice even more husky.
I lean into him to nibble on his ear "staring is rude," I whisper pulling back to look at him. I am in shock to see he has his eyes closed. I am even more in shock when he suddenly pulls me to him crushing his lips to my own.
Before we can get lost in each other the door is flung open to reveal a scantily clad woman strutting over to us.I can feel Tristan tense under me. I wonder what the connection is between these two. Before I can ask Tristan what is going on I feel myself being taken up off of Tristan's lap. I stumble back but quickly steady myself so I will not hurt my baby.
I turn around to see the woman sitting on Tristan's lap placing kisses all around his face.
I quickly blink back the tears that threatens to escape my eyes. I was so distraught that I didn't notice Tristan trying to break free from the woman's hold on him."W-who are you?" I stutter.
She smirks at me before she answers, "I'm Linda, Tristan's fiancée"
That is my undoing I can't hold it anymore a stray tear escapes my eyes. I suddenly start to feel dizzy and my vision is becoming blurry. I try to take a step to walk away from them and that's when darkness hits me and I feel like I am floating.
Tristan's Point of View:
I all but lose my senses when I saw the tears that were threatening to spill from her eyes. I don't even know what to say in this moment. I am literally feeling speechless.
I tried to pull Linda off of me, but she just kept on kissing me. I am just about to tell her to get off of me, but I stop when I hear Linda telling Jessica that we are engaged.
Is she out of her mind?
I don't even like her. I have a restraining order against her for crying out loud!
Out of the corner of my eye I see that Jess is about to walk away from me but stops suddenly. I push Linda off of me as soon as I see that Jess is about to faint.
I scoop her into my arms carefully running out of my office with her. I quickly make my way to my private elevator all the while ignoring the looks I got from persons around.
"Get back to work," I snapped quickly clicking the button to close the elevator doors.
Luckily for me I have a special button installed to the elevator to be able to contact my driver immediately. I press the button just a few seconds before the elevator opens.I rush out of the building as soon as the elevator opens. Once again ignoring the stares from everyone I jump into my car, careful to not hit Jess's head while doing so.
Only one thing is on my mind as John-the driver, drives off.
Please let her be okay.
