Tristan's Point of View:
When I woke up it was 10 in the morning. I was about to get up when I realise that Jess is sleeping in my arms. A lazy smile made its way on my lips when I watch her sleeping peacefully. I carefully pull away from her and slide out of bed.
Leaning in I place a soft lingering kiss to her forehead and another to her stomach, where our baby was growing. Just thinking of our child has me grinning from ear to ear. In a couple of months I will be a proud father and nothing could make me happier.
Rather reluctantly I leave the room and go to the bathroom. After cleaning up, I leave my bedroom and head for the kitchen. I decide that I will make Jess some breakfast. I reach into the cupboard and took out a frying pan.
I have an electric stove so all I had to do was put the pot on and turn the knob. I pull open the refrigerator and pull out a tray of eggs and a pack of bacon. I put them down on the counter, then put the pot in the stove. Turning the knob, I add oil to the pot and concentrate on my cooking.
I was just about to take out the last of the bacon when I feel soft arms wrap around my waist.
"Good morning," I say to her.
I feel cool lips on my bare back, as Jess kisses me there."Good morning baby, what smells so good?" she asks.
"Your breakfast," I grin pulling away from her to then lead her to the table. I pull out her chair and wait for her to sit down.
I am rewarded with her charming smile as I carefully push the chair back under the table, making sure to give her some leg room.
Leaning forward I drop a chaste kiss on her lips and go back into the kitchen. I quickly dish out some of the bacon and eggs for her and one of the plates. Since she doesn't really like toast, so I simply place four slices of bread on another plate and bring it to her. As soon as the plate touches the table she pulls it from my hand and starts to eat.
I laugh softly at her, now that she's pregnant her appetite has intensified. I go back into the kitchen and pour some orange juice for her. I then carry it with my cup of coffee and my breakfast and place it on the table. Don't ask me how I manage that because I don't know.
She takes the orange juice from me with a dazzling smile on her face. I am about to start on my breakfast when I remember something very important.
"I'll be right back," I say to her.
"Is everything all right?" she questions me concern evident in her voice.Wanting to ease her worry, I kiss her slowly on the lips before pulling away from her.
"Everything's fine…You worry too much"
She pouts at me but returns to eating and drops the issue. I quickly go into the bedroom and pick up my phone dialling my best friends number.
He picks up after three rings,
"Hello""Hey Michael"
"Oh hey Tristan"
"Is it done yet?"
"It's all good bro everything's ready"
"Great, I gotta go Jess is waiting on me"
"Ok see you later"
I end the call and smile to myself. Things are going exactly as I want.
Jessica's Point of View:
Have you ever felt so suspicious of someone that you don't know what to do with yourself?
Had anyone ever acted so nervous around you that you felt as if you became nervous too?
All day long Tristan has been acting as if I am glass. He would constantly be by my side, showering me with so much love and whenever he would touch me it was if he felt like I would disappear. To be honest I absolutely loved the attention but after a while I felt as if his presence was suffocating me.
I would simply blame it on the hormones but deep down inside I knew that he was hiding something important from me.
I was brought out of my little trip to Mars when I heard Tristan say something, "hey love I'm going to take a shower"I turn around on the couch to face him not knowing what he expects me to do. I just nod my head offering a big smile, which I knew was fake but he doesn't seem to notice. He walks to the bathroom in the guest bedroom since the one in our room is broken. As soon as the door is close and I hear water running I jump from my seat and run to his room.
I quickly pick up his phone from off of the bedside table and open the phone. Luckily for me I know his password. I enter his messages but there isn't anything incriminating. After that I enter his call log and click on recent calls.
A smirk settles on my lips when I see who's name starts the list. Standing up I cross the room and reached for my phone. I enter the number from Tristan's phone into my own and hurriedly place his phone back where I found it.
I step into the bathroom and close the door, locking it. I press call and wait while I hear it ringing. After four rings I hear a voice say hello.
"Hi Michael"
"Jessica?"
"The one and only," I smirk enjoying his surprise state.
"What's wrong? is everything ok? how's the baby? where are you?"
"I'm fine," I interrupted his rambling "I want to know if you can tell me what's wrong with Tristan?"
There's was silence on the other end and I swear he hang up but when I pull the phone from my ear and look on the screen he is still there.
"We have nothing to hide," he says panicky "bye"
I pull the phone from my ear astonished. I can't believe he hung up on me. Now I'm really curious. What are they hiding?
