Rastizia entered the cabin that Honour and I were in. Immediately she noticed that Honour was mad and that I was in the corner of the room looking upset. She sat down in between us and tried to get us to make up.
"I see that you two are not the best of friends. I would highly suggest that you make up before we enter the training room." Rastizia bit her long, purple finger nails and sighed.
I decided that there was no use in being mad at Honour. Because as soon as we got in the arena, it would be more important to have allies. I was small so having Honour around may increase my chance of survival.
"Honour, I'm really sorry about what I said. I just was offended by what you called my brother and I know he's already really upset. Please accept my apology." I said quietly. He turned around and looked at me. His eyes fluttered. I think he realized that perhaps what he did was uncalled for.
He nodded and finally said, "Ava, I'm sorry about what I said. I didn't realize it meant that much." I smiled and looked at Rastizia. Rastizia realized Honour's mistake but didn't point it out. Instead she said, Avalon and Honour, (emphasizing Avalon) we've got a lot to talk about."
She poured us both a golden, twinkling beverage. Honour gulped it down with ease, but I asked Rastizia what it was first. "Why, it's do-de-la-da! A drink from the capitol - only the finest for our future tributes!" I grimaced when she said this. She was giving us the best to repay for later slaughter.
Rastizia began to tell us all about the many different rules and such in the hunger games. She explained the chariot rides, the interviews, the clothing within the arena. She seemed to know all the information about the parties, the fun, the clothes. But nothing about what we do in the arena.
"Excuse me, Rastizia. What are your tips for what we do within the arena?" I said.
She frowned at me. "Why, Avalon, I've never been in a hunger games. This is why we'll meet up with the seven victors from district eight later."
I nodded. Wait! That meant Stache! I'd get to meet up with Stache! The rest of the time with Rastizia, all I could think about was getting to be with Stache. He could give me the best advice in the world - he knew my strengths and my weaknesses.
Rastizia finished her talk after what must have been two or three hours. Then she said, "It's time, let's go meet the victors!"
