Luke, Nia, Calum and Bella had been waiting outside the cinema for around half an hour. Still there was no sign of Ashton or Michael.
'What's taking them so long it's freezing?' Nia asked frustrated.
'I don't know, I know the bus service is crap but they should be here by now surely' Calum questioned slightly irritated.
'What if something has happened?' Nia said worriedly.
'They were on their way together, they will be fine. I will text Ashton now' Calum said. He got out his phone and began typing.
'There we go send' Calum said.
'This is getting beyond a joke now' Luke said through gritted teeth.
'Hang on, I got a reply... Ash said him and Michael left the house 10 minutes ago, when Michael came back down from taken that phone call he smelt of alcohol.' Calum read looking shocked.
'I noticed that too' Bella sniffed as tears started to form in her eyes.
Calum pulled his cousin into a hug and tried to reassure that everything would be okay. Truth is he just didn't know.
He looked at Luke and Nia and could tell they were thinking the same thing. What is wrong with Michael? They stood there in silence for a while. The silence soon ended by the sudden appearance of Ashton and Michael.
'Hey guys' Michael slurred, doing his best to try and make sure nobody knew he had been drinking. It clearly hadn't worked judging by the looks on each of their faces. Bella's was the worst, she looked like she could burst into tears in any second. Michael could see sadness, anger and worry.
'What the hell, Michael?' Bella shouted, not realising quite how loud she had done so.
'I'm sick and tired of seeing you like this we all are! This is completely out of character. Please tell us what is going on!' she continued, tears on the verge of flowing over.
He just stared at her speechless.
'Fine!' she shouted. She turned around and ran. Michael realising what he was suddenly losing, ran after her. He knew he needed to come clean, he just wasn't sure how. He hadn't said anything to anyone the words hadn't had to leave his mouth. He just felt better drowning his sorrows in a bottle of vodka. He couldn't do it anymore. He could see how worried Bella was and how much it hurt seeing him so... broken.
