Her breathing was labored, but Aaquil held her hand tight. His other hand was on her lower back, guiding her toward the wheelchair.

"Everything's gonna be fine, baby." He said as she sat down. Alissa couldn't do anything but nod since the contractions felt like they were about to tear her from inside out. He rolled her to the front desk, but she didn't listen to the conversation they were having. She reached down, feeling a sticky but gushy liquid between her legs. Once she lifted her hand she was met with the sight of blood.

She couldn't speak. Couldn't do anything but let out a whimper of pain. Fuck, she didn't know the contractions were going to be this bad.

She was finally rolled into a room, laid in a hospital bed with her legs wide. Everyone was moving so fast, and she had to keep turning her head form left to right to keep up with what everyone was doing. Slim was standing next to her, holding her hand tight and whispering encouraging words in her ear but she hadn't even started pushing yet.

The Doctors were whispering, getting all types of tools that she didn't know was needed, nor had she even seen them before.

"Ms. Thompson? I'm sorry but your baby's dead." The nurse said with a blank face before pulling the mask over her nose and mouth.

"A-a what? What? No she can't be s-she was just kicking a couple days ago, she was kicking!" Alissa pleaded. The tears were pooling in her eyes and she was looking around at everyone to see who was listening but no one was. Slim still whispered to her, brushing her hair back with his hand. She didn't understand. Did he not hear the nurse?

"It's breached, we have to take it out." The doctor said firmly to the nurse. Alissa couldn't remember her name.

"My baby's not dead. She's not dead." The tears were unstoppable now, and her breathing was uneven.

"Cut her open." She couldn't tell who said it but it made her kick her legs and try to close them. She was screaming at the top of her lungs but it felt like her body was being held down to the bed.

They split her stomach open and she screamed even louder as the hospital sheets got drenched in blood.

She looked over to Slim and he had his phone out, recording like this was something good to remember. The baby was snatched out and it was the cruelest and most unbearable pain she had ever felt in her life. She was hysterical at this point. The doctor held the lifeless, bloody infant in his hands and put it up to her face.

"Congratulations Ms. Thompson. It's a girl."

She woke up with a scream. It was the third night she had that nightmare and every night she has to scream herself awake. Slim was sat at the computer, looking at her with worried eyes. She must've fell asleep while he was still up tweaking music. She glanced at the clock on the night stand and read 3:21 a.m.

He stood from the chair, walking over to her carefully. Once he reached the bed he pulled her to his chest and wrapped his arms around her.

"Another nightmare?" He guessed even though he already knew.

She just nodded and continued to lay there in his arms. She told him about her nightmares the first night she had one, but he never really said anything in response. She seemed uncomfortable with talking about it.

"These nightmares wouldn't have anything to do with the 10,000 pictures of babies you downloaded to my computer, would they?" He could feel her laugh against him and he grinned.

"Maybe." She said, her voice muffled.
