Lucky You Pt.2

"Hi Mommy!" Alissa squealed like a little kid as the trio entered her parents' house. Her mother's response was with just as much enthusiasm. Alexus was practically jumping up and down with energy and excitement. She didn't see her grandparents and her mother's side that often. But they spoiled her to death when she did visit. Slim trailed in behind them, rolling his eyes slightly. He used to be close with Alissa's mom, never her dad though. He didn't appreciate his dreams of becoming a rapper, and neither of them liked him after they found out Alissa was pregnant.

He stood a little behind Alissa while her mother planted kisses all over her face, then reached down to scoop Alexus in her arms. He already wanted to leave and they had just walked through the door; literally. He looked around, not being able to spot Steve, Alissa's father. Thank God. That man hated him with all his heart and vice verse. After Tammy, was done assaulting Alexus (well that's how Slim saw it) she looked at him, surprise and a pinch of anger on her face.

Remember to scrub Alexus' face when we get home. He thought to himself.

"What is he doing here?" She asked Alissa while never taking her eyes off him. He guessed that she hadn't told her parents about them reuniting? Alissa stepped over to him, intertwining her hand with his. A smirk formed on his face once Alissa did this.

Look at her dumbass, salty as hell. He thought before trying to hold his laugh in.

"Ma, me and Slim are back together." She said with a smile. She didn't care about what her parents thought of him. He was the moon, sun, and the stars to her. But it would be helpful if they didn't hate the man she was in love with.

"Oh?" Tammy said, her voice a pitch lighter. Her glare was sharp enough to cut as she stared at Slim intently.

"Really? After all those times you called me on the phone, crying about how much he hurt you and that you hated-"

"Ma, please stop!" Alissa said. Slim had no idea what Tammy was talking about, but it was enough to make him slowly put his head down in shame. He hated to be the one to always hurt Alissa. Even though he promised himself that he would never do it again once they got back together. And he promised her. She rubbed his hand reassuringly, and he gave her a small smile.

Tammy sighed. "Will he be joining us for dinner?" She asked.

Duh bitch. Slim thought to himself, rolling his eyes at her.

"Of course." Alissa said while putting on a smile, trying to ignore the fact that her mother just brought up something that was supposed to stay between them. "Where's daddy?" She finally asked. Slim felt his shoulders sag. Alissa better not even try to go to sleep after they fuck tonight, because he's not going to let it happen. He's going to be in it all night. All this shit he has to go through.

As if on cue, Mr. Thompson comes out of the bathroom with a big smile on his face.

"Hey daddy!" Alissa exclaims with excitement before embracing him in a bear hug. He kisses the top of her head before scooping Alexus up like Tammy did earlier. His smile soon disappears when he spots Slim standing there. Slim puts his smirk back on, and waves at the man with false excitement.

"What-" before he can even question what the hell is going on, Tammy goes in to explain.

"Alissa says that they're back together." She puts on a forced smile. Slim can visibly see his shoulders sag, but then Mr. Thompson looks at Alissa, seeing the glow on her skin and the smile on her lips.

So he also puts on a forced smile. "Great." He says stiffly. His reaction kinda surprises Slim. At least him and her parents agreed on one thing; seeing Alissa happy.

The table was quiet and only slightly awkward. They were eating fried fish, greens, macaroni and cheese, and rolls. It was actually really good, but you know Slim had to find something to complain about.

"Damn, y'all ain't got no hot sauce? This fish dry as hell." He whispered the last part in Alissa's ear, making her nudge him in his ribs. He winced, but turned to face Mr and Mrs. Thompson, who both were staring at him.

"No, we don't." Mr. Thompson answered. Slim rolled his eyes at the stiff man. He remembered when her parents used to be fun. He sighed, taking a sip of water from his glass.

"You know," Alissa started, swallowing the rest of the food in her mouth before continuing. "Two of Slim's and his brother's songs went platinum." Alissa said with so much enthusiasm, trying to spark up conversation. Slim felt like face palming.

"Oh god." He whispered.

Tammy just rolled her eyes while Mr. Thompson took a sip from his glass.

"Whoopty doo." He said, shrugging it off as if it wasn't a big deal. Wow. They could at least pretend not to hate him.

Alissa sighed. "Dad-" she began but was cut off by Slim holding up a hand to stop her.

"No it's ok, baby." He cleared his throat. "I'd like to see you try and do that, Mr. Thompson." He said with his eyebrows raised. Mr. Thompson just shrugged and before Alissa could try and turn the conversation around for the better, her mother had other plans.

"So, how serious are you two? How long have you been back together?" Tammy asked, trying to make it seem as if it didn't make her skin itch that they were actually back together.

"Uh-" Alissa looked at Slim and he shrugged.

"Maybe about two months." Alissa finally answered.

"Are you having sex with my daughter?" Mr. Thompson asked out of nowhere, staring at Slim with squinted eyes.

"Dad!" Alissa exclaimed.

"Mommy what's sex?" Alexus asked with a mouth full of food. Slim shook his head, laughing sarcastically.

"I mean yeah, she's a little difficult, you know my baby, but she behaves once I give her that act right dick. Ain't that right baby?"

Ok so I feel so much better! I finally updated and I promise I will never go that long without updating ever again! Felt like a part of me was missing without this story. Well I hoped you all enjoyed and I'll probably update in about two days. Sorry if there are any mistakes!
