This girl really knows how to get a guy hooked. Espcially as a good distraction from what happened earlier. We've been making out for 5 minutes and until now I haven't realized she was leading me to the forest.
Didn't she know that there were bedrooms? Maybe she had something planned that didn't include a bedroom? Maybe something to do with basic needs and primal instincts. The thought only gets me more aroused and I kiss her harder.
My back hits a hard, tall tree. She's in control, making this girl even hotter. But I'm alpha, I'm in control. Always.
I spin her around, her long brown hair whipping my face in the process. I ignore it and begin kissing her again. This time her back hits the rough tree bark. A moan escapes her mouth.
"Your thoughts are absurd, alpha." The girl says in between moans. I break the kiss and look at her confused. Can she read my thoughts?
"Thinking I set up something romantic for us? You're not that special." She steps to the side and away from me. She starts to laugh, her head tilting back in the process.
Suddenly a swirl of smoke goes around her. Starting at her feet it goes up and up, covering her waist to her chest. Finally it slowly covers her head, her whole body covered in smoke now, not a sight of her is to be seen.
I step back and I'm about to run when the smoke fades away. In place is not the girl that I made out with minutes ago but instead Camilla. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. It takes me a few seconds to process what just happened but then it finally clicks in my head. She's desperate.
It's my turn to laugh. "Are you that deseperate to be with me that you had to disguise yourself? How pathetic can you be?"
My laugh falters when I look at her face. Instead of a sad, miserable look that I was expecting, she had a smug smile.
"You really are full of yourself. If you wake up for once, you'll realize that not everything is about you."
In werewolf speed I push her against the tree, my face invading hers, making her have no choice but to stand tall and push her body as close to the tree as possible.
"Not everything is about me." I hiss. "I rejected my mate for the pack. She wasn't powerful enough."
"You also don't think she's pretty enough for you. Especially to be your mate." She pushes me back with one hand causing me to stumble back but I quickly catch myself before I fall onto the ground. Camila is walking around me now. "You can say whatever you want alpha but you rejected her for your own reasons. Not for the pack. The moon goddess paired the two of you together because she knew Laya was more than capable of becoming Luna."
I force myself to put my hands in my pocket. If I don't, I'll do something I might regret.
"So what?" I shrug.
"You've embarrassed your mate long enough. I think it's time you learned your lesson." She slowly circles around me, making me agitated.
"What does that mean?" I spit out. My hands clench in my pockets. I feel my anger rising. She has no control of what I do. No one does.
"You have until the 12th full moon to get your mate back." She grabs my wrist. I try to pull back but her grip is strong. Stonger than I expected.
"And if I don't?" She grabs my other wrist as I question her. Who does she think she is telling me what to do? I pull harder this time but it's like my body is not my own anymore. I feel paralyzed as my feet feel heavy against the ground.
"You'll be stuck like this forever." She quickly lets go of my wrist and steps to the side again.
"Like what?"
"You'll see soon enough alpha." She steps back now, taking step after step. "Remember, you have until the 12th full moon to get your mate back."
"I can get her back easily. I have the mate bond to help." And good looks. I think in my head.
"The mate bond won't help you now. And Beau, looks aren't everything." She steps back fully into the dark of the woods now. Not even my wolf sight is able to see her.
"Shut up!" Is the only smart ass thing I can say. Her calmness and disappearance aggravate me more, resulting in me shouting into nothingness.
~~~~~
I walk into the pack house. Most of the pack lived in the pack house but there were always the ones that didn't. Like Laya and her family. They visit the pack house daily but do not live with the majority of the pack.It was dark inside. Most people were sleeping or still partying. I wasn't in the mood anymore after what happened so I decided to go home.
The walk was short, probably because I was so consumed in my thoughts. No one tells me what to do, not even my parents. I'm the future alpha, people should be listening to me.
As I approach the front door, i yank on the door handle causing the door to swing back and hit the dire of the house with full force, creating a loud sound.
"Who's there?" Someone shouted. I walk in and spot Austin in the front foyer.
"Holden." I responded. Austin takes a skeptical step towards me.
"Holden isn't bald."
"What are you talking about? Turn on the lights dumbass." And just as I say it, the lights flicker to reveal a shocked looking Austin.
"Who the hell are you?" Austin steps backs up to the kitcken. His eyes are wide, looking me up and down. He tries to discreetly pick up a knife from the knife holder but I know his motives.
"Put the knife down. It's me Holden. How many times do I have to say it?"
"Where did we first meet then?" Austin questions. I quickly blank out. How am I suppose to remember the first time we met? It was like 15 or 17 years ago. He arches his eyebrow, the knife still in his hand.
"To complicated? Something Holden would find complaicated. What about a simpler question? Which room is mine in this house?"
"Easy, the room beside mine. On the right." I roll my eyes at his question. I'm a good friend, of coarse I would know that.
"Sorry Holden, but your coming with me." He points the knife at me and indicates with it to go towards office.
I listen, just so he will believe that I am Holden. If it wasn't for that, I'd rip his throat out for questioning me.
"If you're Holden, type in the password for the office." I looked at him shocked. Does he really think I'm an idiot. I shake my head before typing in the pin. The door opens.
He doesn't say a thing about it and just nudges me in.
"Alpha David, this guy is claiming that he's Holden." He points to the chair and I sit.
David's my father, a father I was never close with. Maybe it was the lack of time spent together or him being too indulged in work but my father has never once's cared for me. He's more invested in making me the greatest alpha then caring for his own son. Maybe it's the lack of a mother figure as well, but parental love was non existent in this dysfunctional family of two.
My father continues to teach my duties of an alpha but that is the extent to our relationship.
"Holden." His hard eyes focus on me. I watch as his lips purse back, disdain written all over his face as he looks into my eyes. The eyes I got from him. "I'd recognize my boy's blue eyes anywhere." He slowly stands up and walks painfully slowly towards me.
"What the hell happened to you?"
