"A-adam?" I stuttered as he pulled away, "What about Alesa?" I asked. "She broke up with me." He sighed looking down. "Adam, I am so sorry. But I can't do a relationship. Not after the last one I had." I hesitated, he ran back to the car, getting Mason out of the back and walking up to me with him. "Do you have an extra bed?" He asked. "I have a crib just his size." I smiled. "Why?!" Adam asked, concerned. "It was for when my nieces and nephews came to visit. Don't worry, I don't have any kids." I laughed. I took Mason from him and walked upstairs to one of the spare rooms, putting Mason in the bed.

Adam was already sitting on the couch when I came back down. "Don't you need to go home?" I asked, I am never used to having company. "No, I want to talk to you." He folded his hands and stayed seated. "About?" I asked standing in the kitchen. "Your previous relationship." He said. "Are you prepared for the amount of tears that could happen?" I asked, he nodded.

I told him everything. I showed him why hugs hurt me so much, why I always wear long sleeves. Everything. He was almost crying also. "I would never hurt you like that. Please just give me a chance." He begged. "Adam I can't. I am not in the mood for a relationship right now. It just brings back everything bad, and I don't want that. But when I do, I will come to you. That is if you don't have another girlfriend by then." I remarked. "Fine." He said. "It's getting to be morning,  you should go home." I said. He nodded, got Mason and left.

Work is going to be a little awkward now.
