(Riley's point of view, two years later.)
I woke up in the backseat of dean's car, a 67 Chevy impala.
"Looks like sleeping beauty's awake back there." Dean looked into the rearview mirror at me. I smiled and sat up. "Shut up, I'm tired!"I laughed."JESUS!" I shrieked as cas appeared beside me. He looked at me with his head tilted a little. "No, I'm castiel." He corrected me. Dean and sam.chuckled about our sarcastic conversation. I still wasn't used to him appearing out of nowhere and it had been two years. "Whatever dude."
He chuckled, which was a little weird coming from cas since he was an angel who didnt understand much humor, but I just sorta went with it. He was nice looking, with raven black hair, tanned skin, and pretty blue eyes. Adorable to say the least, but I wasn't interested in him in that way.
In a way, he was like a brother to me. So was Sam. Dean was, well, he was different. I secretly liked him-no loved him, but I don't think he felt the same about me. I thout about him all the time though. I tried not to freak out when he talked to men or say anything stupid. Stop it Riley! Calm down!I scolded my self in my head, which seemed to calm me Down a little.
Out of all of us, me and Dean were probably the closest- well, aside from him and Sam. Sam was also the only person who knew I liked Dean. But I didn't talk with him about it like some teenage girl and her 'bestie'. He never told Dean. He was a great friend to have and I was lucky to meet them.
When they came in to ask questions about my mum, and I told them about her and how she died, they told me later on that their father was close family friends with her family, but for some reason they grew apart once they both got families. And Sam and Dean wanted to finally meet her and me, since their father told them they had a daughter about deans age.
"So, how's it up there cas?" I asked, breaking the kind of awkward silence. "Peaceful." He said simply. "Noice." I said in the weirdest voice I could do. Sam and Dean burst out laughing and cas looked at all of us, confused. "I-I don't understand, was that supposed to be funny?" "No." I responded. "It's hilarious." I corrected him. "Hey cas..." I sighed, "nevermind." He was gone. We got back to the bunker and put all our weapons in the guns room. It was just easier to have all our stuff in one room, we had decided.
Once we went back out to the car, we took the body that had been on the floor at the back, covered in sheets an plastic bags, out of the car and spent the rest of the afternoon digging a hole. Once we had dug roughly six feet, we dumped.the body into the hole.
We had done this many times, so we didn't get as exhausted as we used to. Nevertheless, we were still sweating because of the heat, so Dean brought out some beers and chucked them over to us. "It's kind of sad that that chic wanted to be with that vamp guy so badly, she let him turn her, to be honest." I said, finally after a long silence. The vamp girl was the one we buried. The rest we all just left in the nest, with their heads gone and a few we injected dead man's blood into them. I don't do silences, especially when Dean was around.
It felt like he was staring at me, and I found myself unconsciously staring at him, and I worried that with his hunter reflexes, would sense someone looking at him and look up and catch me off guard, so I broke the silences so I would stop staring at his gorgeous emerald green eyes and perfect, flawless dirty blonde hair. " yeah, it was." Sam agreed with me. "but she was killing innocent people and we had to stop her." Dean and I said in unison.
Our heads snapped to each other looking at each other funny, creeped out about what happened. I blushed at looked down at my feet. I heard Dean chuckle to himself, and I looked up. He was blushing really bad too. I guessed it was just because it was a weird moment, but i couldn't help but blush more and the butterflies that I usually got when Dean was around, got worse.
Sam was watching the whole thing with an amused look on his face. When Dean looked at the floor, Sam wiggled his eyebrows at me and made a face like he was saying ooohhh Riley you blushing coz your boyfriend is 'in sync' with you now you're both blushing! Aww! And i gave him a bitch face and mouthed a 'shut up!' To him, and we both cracked up. Dean looked at the both of us like we were going crazy or something. "What?" I asked innocently. "You guys are insane." He chuckled to himself. "Let's go inside should we?" Sam suggested. So we finished the rest of our beer, before following sam inside the bunker. Dean gave me a friendly nudge as we went through the door. "What was that for weirdo?" I gave him a friendly punch back. He just laughed and walked.away. I went to my room blushing like crazy, with a huge smile on my face.
I went to bed a few hours later and quickly fell asleep. It had been a long and busy day and I had a feeling it would be even more exhausting the next day.
