"Master Bruce, I have news of the Joker breaking out of Arkham. You would be most needed for retrieving the clown." Alfred told me as I was filling out some paperwork.
"Again?" I said groaning.
"Of course, just have the batmobile ready." I say, getting prepared to catch him once again.
This wasn't long after I visited him, so what could he be up to? Probably some other messed up scheme to get back at me. Is it bad that I've simply got used to having the clown chase me around? Hell, I almost feel bad for the guy. Everyone has left him. Even Harley had finally realized how horrific her relationship with him was. He's probably chasing me around because he has nothing else to do.
As I was driving I started to hear someone shout in a megaphone.
"BATSY! COME TO PAPA!"
The Joker.
He was standing on the rooftop of a building, so I silently make my way behind him.
"You scared me there bats. I thought you'd never come." He said slowly turning around to face me.
"What do you want Joker."
"Well you of course! Arkham was getting too boring and what's more fun than hanging around with the bat!"
"So you broke out of Arkham to have a chat with me?"
"Actually, I broke out of Arkham for more than just a chat. A favor actually. Hear me out bats. You, me, and the city of Gotham. All I ask is for a night on the town."
"Tell me. Why the hell would I do this favor for you?"
"Who's it gonna hurt huh? Just give me a chance to live a little."
"Fine, but you get two hours and you're staying within a foot of me."
"Sounds good to me sugarplum. We're gonna paint the town!" He says, moving his hands up as I roll my eyes.

"Ok just take one more turn. Alrighty. We have arrived." He said, smiling.
"A run down club?" I say.
"Not just any run down club. My run down club." He says while jumping out of the car.
Inside there was a couple of tables and chairs and a disco ball hanging on the ceiling. Not many people were there but some of them were dancing to the music coming from the boom box in the corner of the room.
"I've got the perfect tune for us bats." He says putting in a cassette. Then there it was, the piercing noise of a saxophone.
"Careless Whisper? Really?"
It wasn't long until the clown jumped on the table and started to dance ridiculously.
"I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know your not a fool" He sang (badly, I might add).
I accidentally slip out a small chuckle which causes the man in front of me to grin wide.
"You've got an hour left" I say.
"Alright, alright, alright."
-
"Now where are we?"
"I thought we could look at the stars together batsy boy." He says, which doesn't fail to cause me to roll my eyes once again.
We walk up the grass hill where the clown lays against the ground next to a tree.
"Cmon' puddin, take a seat" he says patting the patch of grass next to him.
"Thanks for the field trip bats. You're all I got left in this city."
I end up staring at him for a while . I could see that most of his makeup was wiped off. I could tell the clown was becoming tired. One joke too many perhaps?
"You alright there batsy?" He says snapping me back to reality.
"Your two hours are up."
