Take a joke bats // batjokes

Batsy, Batsy, Batsy..

"Mr. Joker, you have a visitor."
"For little ol' me?" I say grinning at the sight of the Batman, walking toward me. There was only himself and a few other crazies roamin' around the couple of tables and chairs placed in the room.
"So what brings you here my knight in dark armor?"
"I've come to check on your sanity." He says.
"Hahaha that's real funny B-man. Now tell me the real reason you're here because it's obviously not to check on my own well-being. I'm not even insane!" I say while bats' eyes roll toward the back of his head.
"I'm serious. I don't want to kill you. The only way anyone's gonna keep you from doing bad is to fix you. I know about you. I know you had a past and I know that there was something that caused you to become the way you are."
"You've got me all wrong sweetheart! I'm born this way babydoll!" I say, putting my feet on the table until the bat throws them off.
"NO ONE IS BORN THAT WAY." He says shouting, then attempts to keep his composure.
"No one is born to love or hate. To create or destroy. We only learn these things.."
He really does know me well..
"Then I guess I'm one of a kind." I say with a serious tone.
"You know, I think we're more alike than you think bats. I'm obsessed with you. I live for you. Even I don't want to kill you. What would I be without chasing you around? I've devoted my life to finding the perfect way of ending you even though that's not what I necessarily want. You, on the other hand, like it or not, are obsessed with me. You're obsessed with finding out the real reason why I am the way that I am. We are like a match and a flame. We exist for each other." I explain.
I lean in forward to place my hand on the bat's chest.
"We cling like cancer. We clash like tidal waves. Don't deny it." I say leaning in closer.
"I know but, you know me, I'll never stop fighting.." he says.
Just as our mouths were about graze against each other, the lights flickered.
The bat was gone.
