~Moriana's POV~

I turned to watch the man in all black walk out the ballroom doors passing Daniel. He turned his head smirking at Danny and whispered something to him, but they were too far away for me to be able to make out what he said. I'll just ask Danny after the party. That dance was so different! When he held my hand in his a spark shocked through my body and my heart began to race. And the ballroom, it just lit up, all the new colors glowed with wonder and became so much more, vibrant. Watching the man walk out of the room was almost heart breaking. My heart jerked and kind of sank, it just screamed and cried.

'WANT'

But why? I didn't know the man. Is it possible to have more than one soulmate at the same time? But believe me not he was no bandit, he was such a gentleman. And besides a rotten thief wouldn't have the guts to try and enter the castle during a heavily guarded party. Nonetheless touch or speak to the heir. I sighed in regret, regret that I just let him walk out like that, I didn't even get his name, shame. I only took two steps before I felt a sharp object pierce my chest. I gasped in shock and looked down. Nothing, there was nothing there. But... what was this, this pain singed through my whole body, it brought me to my knees. I doubled over in agonizing pain, I clenched my chest whimpered. The room was spinning and I just saw humanly figures run up to me and kneel down. I saw Father and madam Heather down on the floor. But everything was so blurry.

I could hear people shouting, but I couldn't make out their words. The new colors and known sounds and sights all blurred together. My sight started getting hazy like it had just hours before, but this time I knew it was out of shock, that same thing happened when I saw mother. The pain pounded in my chest, almost like my heart was quite literally jumping out of my chest. 'Thump' 'thump' 'thump' the pressure became more intense with each leap. The crowd of shadowy figures, a new form emerged. Daniel, he pushed his way through the crowd and bent down picking me up bridal style. As I was moved the pain became even more unbearable. My muscles were sore and weak.

His face came into view and it was full of worry. I could just barely read his lips

    "Moriana?!" "What's the matter?!!"

I mustered the strength to just spit out a few words. "Pain." "Blurry." "So much pain". I put my hands to where my heart was located with this little energy I still had. With all the commotion and the pain, and all my senses getting confused. Everything, just went, black.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up with a painful bump on my head. I attempted to reach up to my head to feel where the sore was. But I couldn't move my arms. In pure shock my eyes opened and darted to my wrists. They were wrapped in a white cloth and bound to the polls of my bed. I was confused and scared, what happened?! I looked around the room and saw my father and Heather on one side, with father holding her in his arms, his eyes were full of confusion, worry, and fear. And to the other side was Daniel, he wasn't afraid, nor was he confused. He just looked at me, his eyes said worry, but his face said pain. He was holding a damp, unnaturally vibrant cloth to his neck. Below the cloth was a vibrant liquid dripping down along his collarbone.

I tried to speak but nothing came out, my voice was gone. It was hoarse, scratchy. My throat felt dry, like I've been screaming all night without stop. What happened, why is everyone so afraid, what did... I do... ?
