Dancing and Romancing

Today was the dance. A place where your friend, Blue, requested laser tag, more food, and promised great fun and pleasure.

Haha.

Nope. Not for you.

You glanced half-heartedly at yourself in the mirror. The dance was casual, so you only wore a cute sweater, cute shorts, and converse. But you didn't bother to fix yourself up for anything else. The sadness and the horrible look of rejection that reflected in Green's eyes when you said you couldn't come with him to the dance kept stabbing at you, leaving bruises of nasty memories.

Sighing, you felt a rogue tear leak down your cheek, and wiped it away with your sleeve. You really didn't want to to go to the dance and see Green laughing and talking with another girl.

But then again, he was Green Oak. The well known grandson of the best professor, the Viridian Gym Leader, AND known for having one of the biggest fandoms ever! He could simply just choose another eager girl and easily get over you.

He even said so.

Your heart racing, you felt like literally MURDERING Gold. You hated him with all your life and all your soul. Heck, you still suffered the pain of remembering you even said yes to coming to the dance with him.

But you had no choice.

You sat on your bed and not even had your bum felt the comfort of the fluffy cloth had a honk sounded from right outside your house. Your eyes widening and ready to face pure hell, you ran down your stairs and swung the door open to see Gold in his everyday wear, holding a rose.

He grinned, but you saw the glint of a smirk beneath the lying mask. You took the rose and threw aside, not even caring if Gold beat you up just for it.

He did look slightly taken aback and he pretended to be offended, but took your hand and led you to his car, opening the door to the inside for you. You simply slipped inside, and let out a sigh. You made a scowl as he shut your door and went around to the drivers seat.

You secretly flipped him off for a nanosecond until you heard his door open then shut. The clanking of keys and the engine revving up again had you shaking for a second, and you felt the car rumbling towards the school. Stealing a glance at the windows of Green's house, you saw they were dark and empty.

He must've actually gone to the dance with someone else, then.

A sob nearly escaped your mouth before you quickly covered it with a cough before blankly staring out your window.

And as if Dialga had turned time against you, the school seemed to have appeared right in front of you all of a sudden. The similar clanking of keys but the sound of the engine shutting down had you literally shivering in fear of seeing Green.

Gold had opened your door again, acting like a gentleman, but you only silently went out, not saying a single word of thanks. He didn't seem to mind as he led you to the doors of your high school. You both went in and you found yourself being dragged into the multi room, and the loud beat of music met your ears.

A girl named Krystal was at the side and holding a check-in sheet. She smiled and looked at you and Gold, "You guys going as a date?" You both nodded me but you more reluctantly, "ok, then! Enjoy, lovebirds!" She chirped happily.

You frowned and only followed Gold wherever he went, whether it be talking to random friends or stuffing his face full of food.

Disgusting.

Foul.

You were vibrating with anger, and you were about to explode until it subsided entirely at the sight of Green and a certain brunette.
