Intro

Hey, I'm Elena Sky and no I'm not secretly Elena Gilbert from Vampire Diaries, I get it a lot don't ask. I'm a 17 year old senior in High School and I've somehow received the reputation of a bad girl, I mean I never deny it because I have my moments, plus girls aren't as catty as they could be so that's a little bonus. However this couldn't be any further from the truth, sure I act a big game but let's be real, I'm 5 foot. I have an older adoptive brother, Connor and two best friends, Hannah and Skylar. We've been friends since before we could walk, so their not just my best friends, they're family. So, tomorrow is the first day of my last year of mandatory school, but that means the tests are just going to be that much harder and the stress level in this school for going to college is going to be off the charts. Can't you feel my excitement? Well seeing as it's 1:00AM I think I should get some beauty sleep, don't want to look like a homeless person on our first day now do we? I'll save that for the second day.

Monday

Ughh

Mondays suck monkey balls, I oh so graciously pound my alarm to shut it up and to check the time.

6:30

6:30? What the hell? School starts at 8 why am I an hour and a half early? It only takes me 15 minutes to shower, another 15 to dry my hair, then I put on the clothes that I put out last night and that takes about 10 minutes because I always tweak the outfit a little, then I can go downstairs and eat my froot loops which takes 5 minutes and then I brush my teeth and that takes 2 minutes, that's only 47 minutes! And 90-47=MORE SLEEP TIME FOR ELENA!

"Elena get your ass up now or I'll play One Direction."

I shot up faster than lightning

"I'm up I'm up!" I say putting my hands up in surrender, I look to my left to see my clock, it read 7:37, "Oh my god I'm late!" I say pushing past my older brother to get to my bathroom why was Connor in here anyway? Shouldn't HE be getting ready for school? He may be 3 days older than me but that doesn't mean he can slack off too! I take a 10 minute shower, I keep my hair in a towel while I get dressed which takes 3 minutes because I didn't tweak it, I then took down my hair and brushed through it and towel dried it leaving it damp, I then brushed my teeth and rushed downstairs I then ate my breakfast as fast as I could and popped in a piece of gum, I grabbed my bag and checked the time on my phone

7:54

I have exactly 6 minutes to get there.

"Need a lift?" Connor asked seeing my panicked expression.

Connor has a death trap. Okay it's a motorcycle but it's a death trap when he's driving.
"No, I'm good I kind of want to live to see lunch." I say grabbing my keys to my beetle. It's old but it's my baby.

"You're one strange girl, El." He says using his nickname for me.

"If enjoying breathing means I'm strange, I'll be the strangest person you ever meet."

"Just hurry up you're making us both late." I fumble around to make sure I have everything and bolt out the door. Connor was behind me and I hear him lock it.

"See you tonight, Con." I say waving to him as I get in my car. I'm greeted with a wave as he speeds off.

I live 2 and half minutes away but since Connor and I had a little chat I only have 2 minutes. So throwing caution to the wind I drive way past the speed limit and make it to school and at 7:58 almost 59 I reach the doors and run to the office only to be greeted with a dissaproving look from the secretary about my almost tardiness, good god bite me woman. I get my schedule and was pleased to find my homeroom is only a few doors down, and I have a whole minute! Right as my toe goes past the door line the bell rings, right on time. I find that there is only one seat in the back of the room next to, oh shit, Aaron Matthews. As I sit down I can feel him staring at me, I look towards him and raise mt eyebrow in a "what?" fashion, he quickly smirks and shrugs as he turns back to the front, to the teacher roll calling, as soon as I hear my name and say here I drift off to day dream land.

I finally pay attention when everyone gets up packing their stuff as the teacher is of course still talking

"These will be your seats for this class and the next seeing as most of you have me 1st period" I look down at my schedule and sure enough there's his name I groan and plop back down. I then hear someone sit down next to me-what the? The bell has rung yet I turn and see Aaron

"Looks like we're sitting next to each other" he says with a smirk and a wink I just stare as the bell rings

Hell. No.
