Game On

I snap out of my trance "Um no we're not. There are plenty of other seats in this classroom, I suggest you choose one."  I say trying my best to be intimidating. 

"But I already did." He smirks. Will he stop smirking? It's annoying.

"Other than this seat. Were you not paying attention?" yes I'm being rude but come on this is not going to happen no.

"I'm actually quite comfortable in this seat, and to answer your question yes I was paying attention probably the first time I've done that in a classroom. I guess there's just something about you." He winks

No, stop. Fuck no. I will not let this happen, he is not going to play me like he did every other girl I will not allow it, no. But when I open my mouth to say something the bell rings and I look around to see all the seats filled. What the? When did they get here? 

Then I feel a warm breath on my left ear, "Close your mouth, love." I turn around startled just to be face to face with him.  I don't close my mouth, I actually start to mutter like the idiot I am.

"Uh-I-uh.." I brilliantly reply. He smiles and leans back chuckling, eyes still on me. I turn back around still startled and try to pay attention to the lesson, oh my this year is going to be interesting.

"Ahhh!"  I scream as I close my locker just to come eye to eye with my best friend. "Skylar, what the hell?!" I hold my hand to my heart, "So I hear you're sitting next to Aaron." She says wiggling her eyebrows. I roll my eyes, "Sadly, yes. Wait, how did you hear that?"

"Everyone is talking about it. Apparently he leaned in close to you and you guys almost kissed? Why didn't you tell me! It's fucking lunch and this happened 1st period!" 

"Sorry, Sky I just didn't want to think about it." I say

"Hey, Elena what's up with you and-" 

"Don't," I interrupt my other best friend,"Nothing is going on between me and him." 

"We're not caling Aar-I mean him by his name?" 

"Nope, he doesn't deserve it." I say as we walk into the cafeteria and get in line.

"Why? What did he do? I mean, I've heard rumours but I want to hear it from you." Hannah says

"He's just such a-a-a-"  

"I think the word you're looking for is amazing, or maybe hot enough just to lic-" the asshole interrupts me

"No, I was going to say unbelievable, insensitive, narccisstic, jerk."

"Now Elena, that's not very nice." he says holding a hand to his heart

"I never said I was nice." I counter as I get to the cashier. I'm about to pay when a muscular arm blocks me from doing so.

"I got it." he says winking at me and handing the lady a 20. "Keep the change" he winks at the lady and I swear I saw her swoon. Give me a fucking break! Follwing my friends I stomp off only to have a pair of feet following me.

"No thank you?" the idiot asks

"Nope." I simply say

"But I paid for your lunch!" he says still following me, I set down my tray on the table and spin around.

"I didn't ask you to, nor did I want you to."

"But I did anyway which deserves a thank you"

"Thank you for what? Spending your money voluntairly? I don't think so." I sit down, can you believe this guy?

I turn around to see if he's gone only to see him there gaping at me. I stand up and whisper in his ear, "Close your mouth, love." I smirk and sit down not looking back once. As soon as I hear footsteps retreating I breath a sigh of relief. I look around and see we've had an audience. Woops.

"Did you just-" I look up at Skylar to see her absolutely amazed, Hannah on the other hand is just scared as shit.

"Yeah. I did." I smile at their reactions, "Two can play at this game."

As I walk to my car I see someone leaning against it. To say I'm shocked would be an understatment. 

"Drew?" I ask blinking to make sure I'm not seeing things.

"You're Elena right? The girl who finally stood up to that asshole Aaron?" He asks with a hint of pride in his voice.

"Uh..you saw that? Wait, asshole? Isn't he your best friend?" 

"Yeah, but even I know he's an asshole to girls, but the thing you said? I'm impressed. You know, it's hard to find girls like that. So with that being said, I was wondering if you would go on a-" 

"A what?"  He says slinging his arm around Drew's shoulders. He looks at him and for a second I thought I saw him glare. "A date. You got a problem?" He asks amused

"Actually, I do, becase you see I was gonna ask little Elena here out too." he says never taking his eyes from Drews. "Looks like you're too late, buddy" he sneers.

"Hey..hello yeah hi, I exist." I say cutting them out of their trance. Before they say anything, I speak, "Listen I just need to get home so if you would move." I say trying to get around them only to be blocked. I sigh. What now?

"Not until you answer us." Drew says.  "Listen, I need time so I'll let you guys know on Friday." I say trying again to get around them only to get blocked again. 

"That's four days away!" Aaron says. 

"Yeah, I know. Now move, I need to get home." I say pushing them away. I successfully get in the car and call Skylar and Hannah and put them on the speaker thing in my car .

"Sky, Hannah, you will never believe what just happened."  I explain everything that happened to them and when I get home I skype them so we can continue. 

"Wow, Elena. Only took a couple years but you've made it!" Sky exclaims 

"Ha ha" She always thought I'd get in a love triangle but gave up because only one guy every other year would take interest in me. "I'm serious guys what the hell do I do?" 

"I've got a plan." Hannah who was silent this whole time finally speaks, "How about you date them both at the same time but of course don't let them know. This way you can see if they're playing you and/or help you choose which one you like the best." Wow, dating two guys at once? One was hard enough, how can I handle two?

"I don't know Hann.." 

"Oh come on! You need to take risks because right now the two most popular guys in school want you and I want you to win at their game. Do it for every girl that's been played." I take this to heart, especially if she says it.

"But.."

"I dare you." Hannah says smirking, that little..

"FIne, I'll play them. Game on, bitches."
