(f/c)= Favorite color, (s/c)= Skin color, (F/Name)= Friend Name
(Name) adjusted her veil and looked at her best friend who was standing next her in the (f/c) maid of honor dress. "You look great!" Lula exclaimed and whacked her self in the forehead. "I almost forgot!"
(Name) shook her head and fluffed the bottom of her dress out as Lula raced around the room.
"Something old, Grandma's pearls!" She sighed as she clasped the necklace around (Name)'s (s/c) neck. "Here! Something new, Your new pearl earrings, courtesy of Jack Wilder." Lula grinned at (Name). "And finally, Merritt's playing card. Something blue." She pushed the card in her friend's hand and smiled.
"Lula where am I supposed to put this?!" (Name) pushed her earrings in and nodded to her leg. "Stick it in my garterbelt." Lula nodded and placed the card between her friend's leg and lacy elastic.
The organ started as Lula stood in front of her friend. "Ready?"
(Name) grinned. "I'm ready." (Name) was finally marrying the man of her dreams, Merrit McKinney. She had met the mentalist of four Horsemen after a show.
Two Years Proir
(Name) walked out of the theater and giggled looking at her friend (F/Name). "Did you see the one with the hat? He was so cool!"
(F/Name) frowned. "Hat dude was not the most attractive-" She sighed and widened her eyes. (Name) was walking towards the hat dude.
"Hey! Mr. Mentalist!" (Name) shouted and smiled as he walked up to her.
"I really liked your stage presence and how you l carried yourself." (Name) smiled and bit her lip. "My name's (Full Name). What's your name, Mr. Mentalist?"
"Thank you. I'm not as much of a showman as I'd like to be." Merritt smirked and pushed a blue playing card into her hand. "Merritt McKinney, But you can call me Mr. Mentalist if you desire." He pulled out a pen and scribbled on the playing card. "I have to go but call me?"
(Name) nodded and watched as he walked away. (F/Name) tapped her on the shoulder. "Earth to (Name)!" She pointed to her watch. "Its getting late!"
The next afternoon (Name) dialed the number on the playing card and waited for him to pick up the phone.
"Hello Miss (Last Name)." Merritt's voice pulled (Name) out of her day dream. She sat up and grinned. "Mr. Mentalist! I-I mean Merritt! I called, like you asked.
Merritt chuckled into the phone and smiled. "There's another show tonight, but we have a whole day to myself tomorrow. How about I meet you at the little cafe near the theater?"
(Name) smiled and looked at her watch. "That sounds great!"
Before the Four Horsemen's Las Vegas show, Merritt wanted (Name) to really meet them off stage.
"What if they don't like me?" (Name) fretted fixing her outfit as Merritt opened the car door for her to get out.
"They like me. So they should definitely like you. Relax they honestly are a bunch of dorky kids obessed with magic." Merritt opened the restaurant door and (Name) was met face to face with Henley Reeves.
"She's prettier than I thought. Why she likes you is escaping me."
"Henley please." Daniel Atlas pushed past the ginger and pulled a card from behind (Name)'s ear. "If you ever get tired of him, give me a call."
(Name) pushed the card back into his hand and smiled at Merritt. "No thanks, I like Mr. Mentalist too much."
"Where's Jack?" (Name) whispered
Merritt gestured to the table. "Found him."
(Name) followed the three horsemen to the table and sat between Merritt and Jack. She smiled at Jack as he picked up a spoon.
"Wanna see a magic trick?" Jack grinned and started to bend the spoon with out moving his hand. (Name) gasped and smiled looking at Merritt. He kissed the top of her head and smiled.
Present Day
(Name) stood next to Merritt and looked up at him as the judge spoke.
"Do you, Merritt McKinney take (Full Name) as your lawfully wedded wife, through sickness and health as long as you both shall live?"
Merritt smirked and looked at (Name). "I do."
"And do you, (Full Name) take Merritt McKinney as your lawfully wedded husband, through sickness and health as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
"By the power vested in me by the state of (state) I now pronouce you man and wife." The judge paused and smiled. "You may now kiss the bride."
Merritt grinned and dipped (Name) kissing her. The church erupted in cheers as they pulled away.
Later at the reception, Daniel stood up clinking his fork against his glass. "If I may speak. Thank you. This is a magical day for Mr. And Mrs. Merritt McKinney. Through our criminal investigation and the loss of our dear friend, Henley Reeves, (Name) had been there for not only Merritt but all of us. I remember the night he proposed."
A year prior.
Merritt sat across (Name) and nervously felt the velvet box in his suit jacket. After two years of dating, Merritt was ready to commit to her.
"Merritt?" (Name) picked up her wine glass and smiled at him. "Are you okay?"
Merritt tightened his jaw and smiled. "Imfine!" He cleared his throat and looked around. "(Full Name), I love you. And I can't tell what the future holds but I want you in mine." Merritt knelt down from his chair and looked up at her his blue eyes wide. "(Full Name) will you marry me?"
(Name) gasped as he opened the velvet box. "Ohmygod Merritt!" She hugged him as he stood up. "Yes yes a thousand times yes!"
Merritt smiled and slid the ring on her finger and kissed her. "I love you."
"And I you, Mr. Mentalist."
Present Day
Daniel sat as he finished his speech and after the dinner everyone went to the dance floor to see the newlyweds dance. Merritt gracefully waltzed with (Name) and smiled down at her.
"So how does it feel being Mrs. McKinney?"
"It is the most magical feeling in the world."
Later that night (Name) stood with her back to the women at the wedding. "One!" She held the bouquet up. "Two!" She closed her eyes. "Three!" (Name) threw the bouquet and turned around to see Lula catch it.
"I GOT IT!" She shouted and showed Jack.
(Name) laughed as Daniel and Jack pointed to a single chair with a very nervous Merritt standing next to it. She sat and laughed as Merritt ran his hand up her leg and grinned as he pulled her dress up.
Merritt saw the playing card inbetween his wife's leg and the garterbelt and grinned. "(Name)! This is playing card I gave you with my phone number! I can't believe you still have it!"
He stuck the playing card in his jacket pocket and pulled the garterbelt off flinging it into the crowd. Daniel caught it and smiled at the girl standing next to him.
(Name) kissed Merritt and grinned as they pulled away in the limo. "I love you."
"And I you, Mrs. Mentalist."
