"She's mine."
Sheldon stepped towards Leonard, he looked down at his short friend. Leonard raised himself slightly, attempting to match Sheldon's height. With his head tilted up at the tall man, they both stood competitively.
"This is ridiculous, all I did was give her a ride." Leonard responded.
"Except, she rung you instead of me. I'm her boyfriend. I'm supposed to be the one there for her."
"Her car broke down. Sheldon, you can't drive. Even if Amy did call you, how was you going to get to her?"
"Still..." Sheldon started, "I would have appreciated if you come and got me. It scares me knowing she had to rely on another man to rescue her. You're taking her away from me!"
"You're overthinking this too much, Sheldon. Seriously, you crazy man. I'm not "stealing" Amy, or any woman for that matter, I am married to the love of my life. If it bothers you that much, why don't you learn to drive?" Leonard questioned.
Sheldon looked down. Too ashamed to admit he was scared. Cars are pretty scary, the risks are tremendously high.
"I need to go. Can I have a lift to Amy's please"
*Sheldon's POV*
So far, the car journey was silent. Not a word, normally this would be perfect. Not having to listen to what he did with his day, the awful radio, anything at all. Silence used to be bliss. However, when it's like this, I don't like it. It was time to be the bigger man.
"--I'm sorry I freaked out. Thank you for helping Amy today."
Leonard took his eyes off the road for a split second to look at me. He raised his eyebrows as his head followed his eyes back onto the road.
"I'm sorry, too. I should have called you to tag along."
"As long as she's safe now, I'm okay." Sheldon said, "also", he added, "don't say a word to anyone that I was this worried, it's considered 'sweet' and I will set a high bar for myself. I will never hear the end of it, Amy's into all that lovey - Dovey nonsense"
Leonard just rolled his eyes.
