You started with white.
A bed, dresser, and tv too
Sketches littering the walls so bright,
Young and discovering "you"
Then you wore posters
One, three, then five.
He got an Xbox, trashed it,
then got a PS3
His squad is now family
They're closer than ever
Their clothes are everywhere,
and giggles can be heard through our walls
Now you wear red
Posters still hung,
More clothes than before,
But now there are tassels
and college flags hanging
Signifying a near departure
Today you're still red,
but nothing is hung.
No bed, dresser, tv, or game console.
He is gone to college and won't come back
