What Shouldn't See the Light of Day

Just Me

I am nothing special

I am just me

My looks don't turn heads

My personality isn't shining

I am easily over looked, pushed past, and ignored

But past my mask

I am strong, wise, kind, and brave

Simply me,

But "me" is taken for granted

Just because I am

Strong enough to handle

Pain

Doesn't mean I deserve it

Just because I am

Wise enough to protect my

Heart

Doesn't mean it won't break

Just because I am

Kind enough to help

Others

Doesn't mean I am always kept together

Just because I am

Brave enough to run into

Fire

Doesn't mean I won't come out burned

You may not notice me

You may not want to know me

But "me" wants to know you,

Needs to know that someone cares

Or else "me"

May not want to stick around much longer
