Winter is a wondrous time
White blankets everywhere I look
It's a favourite season of mine
Until you left me, with nothing but a book
You left me in December
Gave no words in the Spring
I've wondered if you remember
How you caused my heart to sing
It is winter again,
but you are not here
I've been to our spot
It's buried in snow
The snow is so deep that
I'd die before finding the ground
And sometimes I want to. . .
to let the fluffy flakes envelop me in a deep embrace
Until my breath turns to
frost
And then be
missing
Winter is a wondrous time
It brought you to me,
took you from me,
and gave me final rest
. . . . . . . . . . . Winter was a wondrous time
