she walked down the halls. like she always did. she had only been going to the school for 1 year yet she knew every little aspect about it. she continued to walk down the halls as feeling as she always felt when she was not around him. lonely. she finally made it to her dorm, longing to see him. fiddling with the lock, she had finally got the door to open. there he sat, sitting at the corner of her bed. He, the guy she had been in love with for 2 months. at least what she thought was love. wearing his signature black leather jacket, he rose from her bed.

"hey..." she whispered. he didn't say anything. just stared, deep in thought. it was very usual of him.  distant. quite. no words. not to say anything at all. yet, faith had brought them together to be pictured as the perfect couple. ella, sweet, innocent, typical goody two shoes who saw good in everyone. calum, the badass, who ditched all his classes and didn't give a fuck about the world. somehow they made it work. she stared at him, taking in his looks and outfit that became an original part of him

"i missed you." she said, setting her bag down and taking a step towards him. "me too." he mumbled into her neck as she pulled him into a hug, not seeing him in a few hours feeling like forever for her. arms wrapped loosely around her waist, he stood there. that was him. no emotion with hardly any effort.

"i have to go." he stated suddenly, pulling away from her hug. "b-but i just got here..." she reasoned, confused from his sudden departure. "its been awhile since we've spent time alone together." she frowned, gripping the collar of his leather jacket. "i have to go." calum repeated, a harsh tone peeking through his voice took a step back. ella sighed, knowing there was not point in convincing him. "okay." she said, taking a step back from him as well. "i'll come back." he said in a lighter tone, caring enough not to hurt her feelings. giving her a quick peck on the lips, he padded his way towards to door without another word.

"you always do..." she mumbled, even though he was already out the door. but calum didn't back. this being the first of the next several times.
