Their leaves look clipped because I had to trim and prune them quite a bit. Poor babies had several rotted leaves and lots of burns on them, and their soil was too dry. (Home Depot didn't take very good care of them ): ) Today I'll be getting a better pot for them!

And... I decided to draw them as people.

(I don't like either of their hands but eugh)

(i.e, this lovely)

Was very compact, squat, and healthy, she just needed a few rotted leaves and some burns taken care of. So I decided to draw her as a slightly chubby, well groomed lady.

The plants could only be about a month old, so I tried my best at making their personas as young as possible.

I made the boy

(i.e, this poor champ)

As a frazzled, taller tween because his leaves are far longer, but more of them were burned (and some of his new growth was bonnied, which isn't good)

A Bonnie spider plant is just basically a curly leaved spider plant, but curly leaves means the plant was put through too much stress.

They're called Variegated spider plants, which means they have two creamy white stripes on the sides. :)

(But there's loads of kinds! An all green one, which is rare to find, Vittateum, which has a stripe in the middle instead of two on the sides, Milky Way, which has multiple faded stripes, and the Hawaiian spider plant (even rarer to find) which has variegated growth but then turns full green once the leaf has reached maturity which is ultra cool)

I really wanted plants for my room, but as a bonus my babies will also be put through a science experiment! (Nothing harmful, of course, just measuring whether growth hormones actually help a plant or not)

Oh, fun fact about spider plants, they produce small flowering branches all year once they're about a year or two old that turn into miniature spider plants!

And they're called 'spider pups' which I find absolutely adorable, just like my smol bean squid. <3
