Rose kept an eye Shawn the whole period.
When the bell rang she quickly left.
Not because of Shawn.
Or the bully.
Rather what she would have said to the bully.
Experience had taught her that standing up to your oppressor was not always the solution.
It would not solve the problem.
It could make it worse.
