"Hi." Shawn greeted.
Rose was a bit surprised. Normally he would jump into a topic.
"Hey, how are you?" she decided to go along.
"I'm fine... Let me just ask."
Rose knew what he was about to ask. Pretending to be ignorant seemed better at the moment.
"Have you been bullied before?" Shawn questioned.
"Yes." Rose responding like it meant nothing.
Shawn must have realized that she didn't want to answer anymore.
He let the topic go.
Rose felt more grateful than she would admit.
