Ten

A/N: this is the second to last chapter and it's going to be a sad one I'm sorry.

3rd Person's POV

It's been three months since Becca woke up and everything was going well. Even Hawkmoth was staying low. Everyone was enjoying the peace except Becca the peace and quiet was ruffling her fur. Drew was trying to settle the agitated wolf but to no avail so he asked the others to help settle her while he and Flamee went to visit Master Fu.

Alya and Nino gave up after the tenth try of calming her and the tenth time of her biting their heads off. Mari and Tikki then tried but it only worked for an hour before Becca started to pace again but this time it was worst as she was joined by an equally agitated wolf kwami. Plagg decide he would try to calm the wolf themed hero down and was successful up until her kwami started to growl once again setting Becca off with bared teeth. Finally Adrien spun her into him and locked her into a warm embrace as well as placing a gentle kiss on her lips, her tense body began to relax and the Becca they had all come accustom to was showing just as he released her from the loving hug so she could apologise and greet Drew, whom had just walked in, terrifying screams rang through the streets of Paris. The four teen heroes lock gazes and ran to hide from the public eye.

"I knew it!!" Becca snarled angrily as they transformed into their alter egos. Before running along the rooftops to where the victim was, in front of them was a young boy dressed in a dark green jumper and black jeans his face covered by a matching black mask. "He looks no older than a child!" Luna gasps out in shock.

"Which might just make him a strong akuma." Solar states, Luna nods still staring at the child with sympathy and sorrow "Luna? Are you gonna be able to handle this one?" he asks his sister worried she'll be distracted or not be as focus since he's just a small child. She looks at him with a determined look in her eyes and nods solidly, she will save this child.

"Why wouldn't she be able to handle it?" Ladybug and Cat Noir asks curiously and worriedly, this was their kind-hearted yet fierce partner (and girlfriend in Cat Noir's case) but Luna doesn't answer nor does Solar after being glared at by Luna. "Okay..." Ladybug says then jumps down from the roof alongside Solar and Chat but Luna stays up on the roof in the shadows she created covering her from anyone's sight. The truth was she was not okay, she couldn't do this.... not again.

flashback

"Solar we need an eclipse!" Luna shouts to her counterpart receiving the message the fire bird calls his power and the time for him speeds up allowing him to get closer to the poor child that had recently fell victim to an akuma and is now causing distruction and chaos around the English countryside village. As the time goes back to normal Solar has the boy restrain so that Luna can get the object that will allow them to free the boy.

Picking up the small plastic toy car from where the child had dropped it the wolf themed hero is about to break it when she hears a terrible sound, the sound someone makes when in great pain, looking to her left the young teen sees her partner, her friend and her brother stumble away from the child he was once restraining then fall to the ground clutching his side that was slowly oozing with a dark red liquid. All she could do as she trembled in one spot was stare at him hoping he was joking. "L-lun-a fi-finish I-it" the older teen chokes out snapping the girl out of her trance.

Taking a deep breath she turns from her partner and shatters the toy then rips apart the horrid butterfly, having no patience for the thing that caused a young child to harm her partner, her pack. Once she fixed most of the damage she rushed to the older boy's side applying more pressure to his wound "Stay with me please." She whimpers trying to figure out what to do and how to fix him.

"Lu-na lis-ten to m-me. I'm o-kay. Get h-I'm t-to his family then come b-ack for m-me." The phoenix boy orders the distressed wolf who looks at him with wide blue eyes before stumbling to her feet shakily and picking up the small boy. Calming the child in her arms by making a few shadow animal dance around his head she runs and leaves him with his worried parents nodding in acknowledgement of their thanks but not having the patience to hang around.

Once back at her partner's side she uses her manipulation power to heal his wounds but it leaves both of them drained of energy, he passes out due to exhaustion and blood loss so using the last of her energy she carries him home before letting herself turn back to normal and then her world turns black...

flashback over

"...Luna!!" Solar shouts for her realising she is not in the fight. He knows she blames herself for what happened to him all those months ago. She will be ever so careful now when they fight or when she hugs him or anyone. It took weeks for him to convince her it wasn't her fault that they were both still new at this and that they will get better, get stronger. He had to stop her from giving up her miraculous. He feels even guiltier because if he hadn't let his guide down then she wouldn't've blamed herself or used all her energy almost leaving her dead. "Luna we need you around about now!" he shouts knowing she's listening.

Luna watches from her shadowy corner, watches working out the fight pattern the boy carries. She notices that he doesn't like hand-to-hand combat he backs from it. He relies on his power to stick people to one spot. She sees the boy put his hand on a small sword behind his back before locking his gaze on Cat Noir then Ladybug before smirking and sticking Solar to the floor.

Becca's POV

"NO!!!!" I scream letting a burst of energy fly at the boy sensing my distraction won't take his mind from his plan as long as I want it to, i leap from the roof and right between Cat Noir and the boy's blade. I watch it, I feel it, plunge dtraight through me. just under my heart right in the middle of lungs. I gasp as I step back away from the boy. Ladybug frees Solar and they begin to fight him. Cat Noir catches me as I fall backwards to the ground.

"Luna!" he says in shock seeing the blade that has impaled my torso "What? Why? Why would you take the hit and for me?"

I cup his cheek "I couldn't let it happen again. Plus I can't let you die. I love you." I finally after weeks of being with him " I really love you kitty cat... Adrien." I start to struggle to breath as I rub his cheek with my thumb.

"Please don't leave me, I need you. I love you Luna... I need and love you Becca." he says tears running down his cheeks. I hear Ladybug finish the fight and everything goes back to normal.... everything but me. Solar and Ladybug join us on my other side they two have tear soaked cheeks.

"I'm so sorry. I love you guys so much. Tell Alya and Nino for me. Drew tell my family. Look after this one for me. I'll always be there when you need me." I sob hugging them all with a soft smile.

"Of course." Drew promises me as Mari nods. "We love you so much Becca. We will never forget you."

With the last of my strength I pull Adrien into a deep kiss and let Mooney out as does the others. Weakly I say a thank you and sorry to the kwamis then the world fades as life leaves my body. My last thought being I'm sorry, I love you all.

Adrien's POV

As she kisses me we all let our transformations go. i silently sob as she says goodbye to the kwamis. My Becca saved me but now I'm going to have to life without her. She takes her last breath and closes her eyes. If you didn't know better you would have thought she was sleeping in my arms but she's not. She's gone. She died in my arms. I couldn't save her. I pull her as close as I can begging her to wake up. I want her to wake up. I need her to wake up.
