it has literally been nearly a year since i last updated, i am so sorry.
when i started writing this story, i didn't really know what i was doing. all i really had was this idea of someone who loved 5sos so much that she wanted to keep them forever. she didn't want to keep them alive, though, she wanted to kill them, preserve their bodies and basically use them as dolls.
obviously, as you probably know (assuming you've read the original) that isn't what happened.
eventually, the idea developed to her simply wanted to keep them forever and play games (torture) them. i still hadn't even thought of the idea of lana, zoey, shannon, and rachel yet. in that version, they were rescued by the woman's daughter.
and then, obviously, i thought of the idea of four girls- just four, normal, fangirls- saving them instead. i had no idea how they'd save them or even the girl's names but i just knew i wanted to write this.
so that's kinda what i did. i didn't plan anything properly or even write a quick plot, i just started writing. i had a few, faint ideas but not much. hell, i didn't even know how the girls would even save them.
and tbh, i only properly figured that out after writing the last chapter (as in, the last posted chapter.)
but ngl, after re-reading this, i'm really not happy with some of the things that happened. i feel like a lot of things need explaining properly or just generally done better. i feel like the biggest fan needs better development (she does have her reasons for everything she does) and i honestly feel the girls need better characters. in general, i just think it should all be better.
what i'm trying to say is, i don't like my writing in this story. i love my idea and the story itself but i want to change too many things.
so, i'm going to be rewriting this from the start. there will be a lot of changes to the story but they will hopefully be for the better.
to anyone who is still here and reading, i am so sorry that this is not an update. i'm also immensely sorry for the fact that i've left the story at such a crucial part.
i will be trying to update as much as possible but i'm actually in the second year of gcses rn so updates will probably be spaced out.
