New friend

"Hmmm it's way too hot today" I grumbled, combing my black hair from my face. I walked down the dusty road by the hokages office. We had just reported on a dog walking mission. Obviously I handed my dog to Naruto. I hate dogs. I mean no offence they are cute but cats are way better. We came back with a few more bumps and scratches than when we left. Mostly on Naruto.

I continued and was suddenly bashed into a certain pink haired kunoichii.
'Ugh why!! Why world?! Whyyy?! I don't have time to deal with this fucking fangirl.
"Oh hey Sakura" I said smiling.
"Mew" she said. I gave her a confused look and shrugged.
"Ok...? Meow to you too?" I cocked my head to the side, confused.
"That wasn't me" she said, her cheeks turning pink.

I looked down and spotted the cutest little kitten I ever saw.
"Awwwweeee" Sakura and I squeeled in unison. The kitten was black, with blue eyes, and white on his face. I bent down to pick him up but was stopped by Sakura. I glared at her, daring her to challenge me. She stuck out her pointy pink tongue, picking the kitten up.

"Hey I saw him first he's mine" I shouted grabbing the cat away from her, claiming that she doesn't know the first thing about taking car of a cat. 
"No he's mine" she shouted grabbing him back again.
"Fine he'll decide" she said.
She directed me towards the other side of the street and she placed the kitten in the middle. He nonchalantly cleaned his paw, looking completely bored out of his mind. Or is it a she? I dunno.

"Ok call out a name and see who he runs to" she shouted crouching down to the floor, making kissing noises.
"Blossom!"
"Blossom come here girl" she shouted.
'Why the shit balls would he be called Blossom. I would hide in shame f I were him' I thought to myself.
"Sherlock, sherlock come here boy" I called to him. He trotted over to me and rubbed his head against my leg, sniffing at my pocket.

I reached in and brought out some cat nip, I always brought it with me, so that I could help any cat on the street. Sakura stood and walked away in defeat, her lips in a pout and her pink hair swinging. "I mean, what cat in their right mind would want to be called Blossom?" I asked Sherlock as I picked up my little detective and went home.

For the rest of the afternoon I trained Sherlock to look for the catnip. It could be a really good way to track villains. I realised that I had to report to my team. Apparently we had a mission to find a missing cat. I decided to bring my extra cat food to aid us in finding the lost kitty.

I left my apartment and walked towards the meeting place, placing sherlock on my shoulders.

"Sakura I'm at point A"

"Sasuke I'm at point B"

"Naruto I'm at point C"

"You're late Naruto"

"Um guys I have another little furry friend here who wants to go home" I told them, watching Sherlock and the cat that was missing play. Three shapes landed beside me and stared at me incredulously. I smirked victoriously and called the cats towards me.

"Ok team seven we have a babysitting mission, another dog walking-" the Hokage told us, his wooden pipe hanging from his lips.
"Ehhh no nope nada no thank you I want a real mission"said Naruto, making an X with his arms. I nodded in agreement, Sherlock mewling along with me. I noticed Naruto backing away from my area, seemingly scared of the animal lying there.

"Naruto you are only Genin-"
"Iruka it's fine. I'll give them a C ranked mission. They'll be escorts" said the Hokage.

"Oh wow an escort to who? A princess? A merchant?" Asked Naruto ecstatic as the door behind us opened. It revealed an old man drinking sake.

"They're my escorts? They're a bunch of snot nosed kids. Especially that little one with a stupid look on their face" the old man said, taking a swing of his sake.

I leapt at him growling while sensei held Naruto.

"ILL KILL YOU YOU FUCKING BASTARD," I shouted. "DONT CALL ME SHORT EVER!!"
