Peculiar Dreams

Chapter 1

He looked up and felt the warmth of the sunlight on his face.  There were trees all around, but through the branches, he could see the sun high in the sky, it must have been around mid-day.  He felt confused.  "Where the heck am I?" He thought to himself, "I have no idea how I got here, last thing I remember was..." 

"Jaden!" He heard a familiar voice behind him.  He spun around to see a pretty girl walking towards him.  "Where have you been?" she asked him.  He felt like he knew her, but for the life of him he couldn't remember her name.  She had beautiful long rose-colored hair and incredible blue-green eyes, he couldn't stop staring into them.  "What are you looking at?" she asked playfully. 

"Uhh, sorry... I... I just..." he stammered as his face started to turn red.  She just laughed and wrapped her arms tightly around him.  It felt so wonderful and familiar to him.  At this moment he didn't care who she was, he just knew he loved how this moment felt.  Then to his surprise, she leaned in and pressed her lips to his.  He felt like he was melting, her lips were so soft and sweet. 

"Who is this girl?" He thought to himself.  "She is amazing..."  He felt tingly all over, he never wanted this kiss to end. 

"Wow!" she said as she pulled away, "that was even more intense than usual."  She had such a beautiful smile.  "So," she said as she grabbed his hand and started leading him to a path through the trees, "where have you been anyways?  I've been looking for you for like an hour!" 

He tried to think, but still, he couldn't remember how he got there.  "I... I really don't remember"  he admitted. 

"Seriously, Jaden, quit messing with me.  Were you out here to meet another girl?"  She asked jokingly with a little smirk on her face. 

"No, I mean, really, I can't even remember... your name... or even how I know you."  he said apprehensively.  "I mean, I know that I know you... I just..." 

"What?!" She interrupted him.  "Did you fall and hit your head or something?!  Now you are really worrying me Jaden."  She shook him so hard he thought his head would fall off!  "Snap out of it!" she yelled. 

Suddenly it hit him, he was beginning to remember.  Her name was C...  C... Ch...      BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP     He jumped at the sound of the alarm. 

"WHAT... THE... FUCK..." He thought to himself.  He was sitting in his bed, with his dog, Kip, staring at him from the foot of the bed awkwardly.  "Wow was that really just a dream, that seemed so real.  And that girl... wow... maybe if I lay back down I can get back to that dream. Why did it have to end?!" 

Uggghh, he sighed as he looked at the clock and realized he only had 10 minutes to get to class.  He quickly jumped up and threw on his shirt and found the closest pair of jeans he could find and pulled them on.  Slipping on his shoes as he ran out the door. 

"Good thing the university is only 8 blocks away!" He said to himself as he hopped on his bike and started pedaling furiously.  He had already been late 3 times this semester.  But all he could think about all the way there was that dream, and that girl...  "Dang, what was her name..."
