As he opened his eyes, he looked down and could have sworn the pattern of the leaves in front of him on the sidewalk were in the shape of a heart. But the breeze quickly blew them around in every direction. "Okay, now I KNOW I am losing my mind." He giggled to himself and just shook his head.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He awoke to the feel of someone lying beside him, his arm around her as she cuddled next to him. She lay on her side with her leg wrapped around him. He'd never felt so warm and comfortable. Before he even opened his eyes he knew it was her, Chloe. Her long rose-colored hair was messy, but still looked beautiful somehow. So silky and soft, it was covering her pillow and part of his chest. She looked absolutely stunning laying there with him, still sleeping. He glanced around the room, everything was unfamiliar. He thought to himself "Where am I now? I must be at her house, but how did I get here?" But he honestly couldn't have cared less at this point. He was just so happy to be with her again. "I supposed this is just a dream... or whatever... but please God just don't let me wake up this time. I want to stay right here forever." He leaned his head forward towards her and kissed her softly on the forehead. He wrapped both arms around her and pulled her even closer to him. He could literally die right now and he wouldn't even care. He began to doze off again.
He awoke to the feel of warm lips on the side of his neck. So soft and gentle, he could feel a warm tingly feeling running up and down his body. The first kiss was right above his collarbone, slowly working their way up the side of his neck towards his ear. He felt her hair running across his face and chest, it tickled a bit as she continued kissing his neck.
She blew softly into his ear as she whispered "I love you". Then began to nibble and kiss his ear. He trembled a bit, it felt so good.
"You know my every weakness don't you?" He whispered as he moaned in pleasure. "Oh my god you are amazing..." he could barely even speak it felt so good. If this was a dream, it was the most realistic dream he had ever had. Every single thing seemed so vivid. The sounds, the smells, and everything felt so incredibly real. He began to run his hand along the leg that she still had wrapped around him. Her skin was so soft, it drove him crazy. He could hear her start to breathe a bit more heavily the higher his hand got on her leg. He felt like he knew exactly what she liked, and how to drive her wild. He slid his hand under her shirt and rubbed her back softly, He could hear her begin to moan softly in his ear, which just turned him on even more. She would flinch every time he got near her sides. He laughed to himself, it was so cute how ticklish she was. He pulled his hand out from under her shirt and cupped the side of her face, he turned her towards him and kissed her on the lips. She climbed on top of him as they continued passionately kissing. She sat up slightly, looking him in the eyes. My God, she was so beautiful, with her big blue-green eyes gazing at him, her hair falling all around them.
He felt like he had a million things to say but all he could manage right now was "I love you so much, baby." She smiled and he could see her cheeks turning a bit red. "I've never been so happy in all my life as I am right now." he added.
He could see tears welling up in her eyes. Still smiling, she managed to say "I love you too, more than you will ever know." He could see a few tears beginning to run down her cheeks as she dropped her head down to the pillow beside him. He wrapped his arms tightly around her as he kissed her cheek.
"What is this all about?" He asked feeling a bit concerned. "I sure hope these are tears of joy."
"Yes, mostly" she replied as she sat back up. "It's just everything going on with my father. He just doesn't understand how we feel about each other." She rolled over on the bed looking up at the ceiling. "It's mostly the whole age difference thing. I tried to tell him how I feel, if two people get along as well as we do, and care about and love each other the way we do, then why should age matter at all? I just feel like we are meant for each other, everything keeps telling me that. And I'm so afraid he is going to try to keep us apart." She said as she wiped the tears away from her cheeks.
"Wait, WHAT?! What are you talking about?" He said as he jumped up from the bed. "I thought we were basically the same age, I mean, unless there is something you aren't telling me!"
She sat straight up in the bed. "You're joking right?" she said with a confused look on her face. "You know exactly how old I am, William. We've talked about this many times, and you've never had a problem with it!" she added as tears began welling up in her eyes again.
He shook his head as he starting feeling a bit dizzy. "What is going on? Who the hell is William?" he asked as he stumbled around the room. He glanced in the mirror over her desk and almost fell over. It wasn't him looking back in the mirror. It looked sort of like him, but a little older. He started to realize everything was a bit off. The clothes, the room decor, it was all like something he had seen in movies. Old, old movies. He turned towards the window and pulled the curtain to the side. He looked outside in disbelief. Every car he saw looked like old Model T cars he had seen in pictures. People were dressed so strangely.
Just then he heard a loud voice echoing in the distance. It sounded like it was counting, only backwards. "5... 4... 3..." He looked over at Chloe, she was staring at him in complete confusion. She began to fade away. Then the voice started to become a bit clearer. "2... 1..." Then a loud snapping noise.
He jerked as he opened his eyes. He was lying on a couch with a man sitting in a chair just a few feet away, looking at him. He had a pen and a pad of paper in his hand."Welcome back, Jaden. Do you remember where you are? It can be a bit confusing the first time you are hypnotized." The man said reassuringly.
Jaden was completely confused at first, but it quickly starting coming back to him. "Oh yeah, I did finally go see a shrink about all this weird stuff going on..." He said groggily.
"Very good..." the doctor said as he began jotting something down on his notepad. "This is definitely one of the most intriguing cases I have ever come across."
"So, doc, what do ya think? Am I losing my mind or what?" Jaden says as he sits up on the couch, rubbing his eyes.
"No, no, not at all. This sort of thing is actually much more common that you would think. Have you ever heard of past lives, reincarnation, soul-mates, that sort of thing?" The doctor asked with a very serious look on his face.
Jaden sighed, "Yeah of course I've heard of that, but until recently, I thought it was all mumbo jumbo. But with everything going on, I am starting to believe ANYTHING is possible!"
The doctor smiles and nods. "Yes, this universe is a lot stranger than I think we give it credit for. We are only beginning to understand these sorts of things." He stands up and begins pacing back and forth. "Yours is the twenty-third case I have studied in this area, and I must admit it seems to be the strangest. In most cases, the patient will remember only vague details. Whether it be a past life they have lived or in the case of soul-mates, they will meet the same person over and over in each past life, as if they are drawn together by some unknown force. But in every case I have studied about soul-mates, the two people involved will look completely different in each life. Sometimes they will even be a different gender. But in your case, you say Chloe looks exactly the same every time you see her. Not to mention you have seen her while you were awake." He walks over to his desk and sits in the chair, grabbing another notepad and flipping through the pages. "It actually reminds me of a case I read about years ago. It was an old colleague of mine. Hmm let's see..." He pauses as he continues flipping through the notepad. "Ahh here it is, Dr. Bloom. I will contact her and give her the details. I think she will know how to help you."
Jaden stood up and nodded. "Thanks, doc, I need all the help I can get at this point..."
"Anytime, Jaden. Good luck to you, please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with." The doctor says with a smile.
Jaden smiles back and walks over to the door, closing it behind him. He shakes his head and thinks to himself, "Wow, I can't believe it has come to this..."
