Emery's POV:
The bell rings again signaling the end of class. April folds away again and I shove her to the bottom of my backpack for safe-keeping. I walk out of class in the herd of students. So many people were bumping into me and shoving me around that I was spinning. Someone grabbed my right hand and pulled me. They pulled with so much momentum that I kinda crashed into their chest. Immediately, I could tell it wasn't a girl. I look up to see Troy, kinda half-laughing, half-smiling. I blush slightly for being this close to him. "Stay close to the sides of the hallway, unless you're an expert in keeping up with traffic here." Troy advises.
"T-Thank you for saving me, again!" I say and laugh at the end. I could feel my face getting redder as I stutter.
*Skip to after school*
"So Emmy, how was your first day?" Troy asks as we walk out of calculus. Emmy. I blush at his nickname for me.
"Good! Everyone is really nice. Well, except for those bullies." My smile disappears and turns into a scowl as I think of what occurred this morning.
"Hey! Don't worry about them! They're jerks! I'm meeting some really good friends of mine at Ernie's. Wanna come?" Troy invites me.
"Sure! I'm kinda getting tired of your face." I joke as I place my hand to where I can't see his face no more. I take it down and we both crack up laughing. "Jk!" I say just so he gets that I was joking.
We get to the mall and turn to go into a froyo place. Science boy, soccer boy, nature girl and...my sister!, are sitting at the table that Troy is heading towards. I take a deep breath as I see my sister look at me. She just smiled as if she has never seen me before. A little part of me dies knowing that my own TWIN SISTER doesn't recognize me. Troy stops in front of the table. My sister and her friends greet Troy. "Emery, this is Gia, Jake, Emma, and I think you've already met Noah!" Troy chuckles as he is obviously reliving our confrontation this morning in science class.
"Hi! I love your outfit! Yellow is my favorite color." Gia says. I look down at my white v-neck tee, black jeans, black boots, and yellow letterman-style jacket. I look back at my sister.
"Yellow is my favorite color, too." I reply as I smile.
"Wow! It's like you and Gia could be sisters!" Nature girl, I mean, Emma exclaims.
"I did have a sister once, but she went away without saying goodbye! She would have to have guts to come back and face me after what she did!" Gia glares at the table as she says this. That, broke my heart. I knew Gia would be upset, but never this mad!
"Ah, Noah and I will just go check on our order..." Jake trails off, trying to avoid being caught in Gia's anger. When my sister gets mad, she gets MAD. Suddenly, my samuraizer rings. I look at them, and smile a little too wide.
"I gotta take this, sorry! See you guys later!" I turn and walk fast out of the mall and sharply turn right and behind a bush. I flip my samuraizer open and answer it. "Hello?" I whisper.
"Emery? Thank god! You're the only one who answered!" A familiar voice says.
"Jayden?! What's wrong?!" I ask frantically.
"Somehow Octoroo managed to escape the Netherworld and is attacking the city! I need you to meet me at the mall!" Jayden commands. He sounds like he is running.
"Jayden, I'm at the mall. I didn't notice an atta-" I'm cut off mid sentence by screams of fear.
"Ok! Hurry Jayden!" I say before ending the call. I run behind the building where no one will see me morph. "Samuraizer! Go go Samurai!" I shout, draw my power symbol and morph. More screams fill the air. I run back to the front and into the mall. I look around to find Troy, Emma, Jake, Noah, and Gia standing their ground. I run to them because they won't know it's me. "Go! Get out of here before he hurts you!" I encourage. They all look at me like I have two heads.
"You're a Yellow Ranger!" Noah exclaimed.
"Yes, I am. Look, you guys may be the Megaforce Rangers, but the Nighlok are our responsibility. Just make sure civilians are safe. We'll handle this." I say and Jayden comes up behind me. They look at Jayden in awe.
"C'mon, let's finally beat this Nighlok." I look at Jayden and nod sharply. Jayden runs off. Moogers approach me and the Megaforce Rangers. I grab my power disc and put it on my sword. I spin the disc, as yellow wraps around my blade.
"Spin Sword! Seismic Swing! Ha!" I strike them as rocks, dirt, and earth scatter everywhere, destroying all of them.
"Whoa!" They all say.
"That was awesome!" A voice that sounds a lot like Jake's says. I don't turn around.
"Go! Make sure everyone is safe!" I say as I hear them run off.
*a little time skip cuz I'm lazy*
"Samurai Rangers. Victory is ours." Jayden ends.
*another time skip, sorry!*
I'm demorphed and I'm walking back into the mall. I turn into Ernie's and see Troy, Noah, Jake, Emma, and Gia sitting at a table eating froyo. "Hey guys!" I say with a smile as I approach them. Troy and Emma part like the Red Sea and I sit in between them.
"Hey, Emery!" They all say.
"What did I miss?" I ask knowing very well what happened.
"Nothing important," Gia answers. I mentally make my eyebrows jump. That was an utter lie. I know exactly what happened.
