Ok So I have a theory and a rant More a theory tho
Ok so I just finished Survivors A Gathering Darkness Dead of Night, right?
So, my theory is that Storm killed Whisper! Oh spoilers btw
Now I know that Erin Hunter makes a point saying that it wasn't Storm in the book, but I think it was
And here's my evidence.
Let's just focus on the title of the book
Dead of Night
I think Whisper was killed in the night, and so does Storm. So, the title would make sense. But other things get killed in the night too. So let's look at the cover and see If that gives us any more hints

So, on the front cover is Whisper. That gives us more of a hint that Whisper was killed at night. Also, a fierce dog is behind him, which I can only assume is Storm.
But how would Storm kill Whisper without herself even knowing it? Remember, she sleep walked.
And don't think I've forgotten the details. Oh no.
Remember when Storm felt like she was fighting another dog? I think that's when Storm killed Whisper, bc evidently she won the fight. And when they found Whisper, he had a shocked face. A shocked face. Whisper was surprised when he died. Like someone he wouldn't expect killed him.
Storm.
We still have more evidence. I'm sorry bab.
How would she kill Whisper if Whisper was in camp, you ask? Well, I think Whisper was following Storm to make sure she was ok. Remember that Ehisper was in love with Storm.
If your wondering about the time she "saw" Whisper in a light sleep, and he told her it wasn't her that killed him, I think Storm's brain was just ticking her by dreaming that she didn't kill Whisper, bc she didn't want it to be true.
I'm sorry Storm. So much evidence points to you being the killer of Whisper. I don't think you did those other things to Moon and the fox cub, but I think you killed Whisper.
