Luna was assigned to investigate Mt. Ebott to help the monsters. Her cat ears twitched as she climbed the mountain with ease. "Here goes nothing..." She whispers to no one as she held onto the locket her foster father gave her. She jumps, her long hair whipping with the air as she lands on her feet.
The robot sat in the chair his hand covering his mouth as he listened to the suggestions of his staff, his mind seeming to have been absent minded from the conversation, at least a good portion of it. His eyes dull with boredom as the lame suggestions continued. He stood and slammed his hands down on the table. "But that's not how they do it in the surface now is it!?" He replied with a small sigh. "I want results! I want more ratings! I want to show them that the underground can be just as great as the surface! Have I not made that clear?!"
He sighed and stood, "Hm....I need a new approach. and I'm not going to get it from well...you." he thought some, it had been some time since he actually walked around the underground. He figured he'd just do that instead.
Luna looked around, seemingly having to make it in someplace called Waterfalls. Where the hell am I? She thought as she walked around, her weapons hidden as she looked around. She's met two skeletons though she simply brushed pass them, her ears on alert. She refused to fight any monsters she's came across and such she had been avoided just as much.
"Where am I at? And how the hell was it snowing back there...?" She mused aloud, not noticing the robot.
He paused hearing the voice and his head immediately turned. "Eh? You....don't know...." he blinked a few times. "It's different climates....because it's a mountain..and it has higher altitudes..." did she not know how a mountain worked? how sad.
"And you're in Waterfall." Clearly she wasn't from here, which posed his new question where did she come from in the first place?
She looks up, her ears perking up as well as the male spoke. a small frown tugs her features at his statement. She did, however, look very familiar to the male.
"Eh? I know this is a mountain, I'm questioning how is it possible for weather to happen down here. Boss sent me to help out the monsters. So far, they seem afraid of me, don't know why. And there was this short skeleton that looked like he was going to cry when I didn't know him." She spoke, her voice was also very familiar to the bot.
"Not only that, my phone isn't getting signal and I honestly hope Jasper won't freak out about me not calling him to say I'm fine." Luna realises she was rambling and felt a small blush rise. "Forgive me, I've been rambling so much I didn't even introduce myself." She held her hand out towards the male. "I'm Luna Ortinna. Nice to meet ya."
Pink hues squinted some at her words, not to mention the familiar look to her, Perhaps she had been to one of his early shows before his new body and thus why she was acting so friendly towards him? When she mentioned a short skeleton who looked as if he was going to cry he rose a steady brow. "Uh huh....That's Erm–Unfortunate?" why was she telling him this useless information?
"Boss? Jasper? Wait–Down here?! You're from above then?" Well so far she said monsters had been avoiding her and no one had tried to attack her. He paused however when she introduced herself. "Mettaton..A pleasure to meet you as well darling.." she looked awfully familiar but where had he seen her? how very....annoying! He hated forgetting faces but given his line of work how could he ever keep track of everyones face when they didn't look as gorgeous as himself?
She gave him a soft, real smile. "Ah, you must be the one the taller skeleton mentioned. He was right, you are very good-looking." She sang playfully, her eyes held a glimmer of pure happiness. When he mentioned being from above she nods her head. "Hai. I work for an agency that deals with things like this." She explains, pushing her bangs back. There was an outline of a faded scar shown by her current attire, one the bot has seen before on...
"What about you, dearie? What exactly do you do?" She asked, her tail twitching randomly.
A genuine compliment? "But of course he was right! I am after all the undergrounds shining star!" though the scar did distract him. Why the hell did that look so.....familiar?
"What do I do? Oh! Pardon me darling, I had....something..on my mind~ Anyway, What I do is provide entertainment and glamor to the poor depressing lives of the monsters that live here~!" he boasted happily. though the dearie had thrown him off once again.
She gave him a small smile. There was the distant sound of a music box playing, and she softly sang under her breath out of habit. She stops when his gaze shifted on her. A small blush became clear on her face. "A-Anyway, that sounds like a lot of fun. I'm sure you're very talented." She compliments, hoping he didn't hear her sing. While she didn't mind singing for people like her co-workers, Jasper, and her best friend Raz, she did however didn't like singing in front of someone she just met.
"Well that was a cute little voice I heard, a shame it wasn't louder." he chuckled some noticing the pink across her cheeks. "Oops~? Was I not supposed to hear that? I thought you might have been trying to impress me." he ran his fingers through his hair with a smirk. She was certainly an interesting creature now wasn't she?
Luna's cheeks turns red even more, her ears flatting. "T-Thank you, Metta..." The way she said this finally clicked with the male, and she blushed a darker shade of red.
"O-Oh forgive me I don't know where that cams from."
Once that nickname hit him his eyes widened, old dusted memory banks and wiped memories had flooded back. and his hand covered his mouth in shock.
"I-It's quite alright...." he was quiet for a moment as he was recollecting himself. She didn't remember them? But why? and why had he forgotten? Was his memory really that bad? Perhaps, He needed Alphys to look it over. Would Alphys remember her? "Uhm, Forgive me for being a bit forward but are you sure you've never been here before?"
"No need to apologise, but this is my first time here. Are you alright?" She asked, concern in her eyes. Why was she acting as if she knew this man? As far as she knew, he was a stranger.
"Luna!! Y-You're o-okay!" A small yellow blur tackles said female's legs, making the feline yell out and her hand itched to grab her knife when she realises it was another monster and relaxes.
"Forgive me for being rude but, who are you, tiny one?" Luna asked.
"Y-You don't remember me? Its me! Alphys! Your friend?"
"I-I'm sorry...the only friend I know of is my best friend Raz. I'm sorry but I think I would remember someone as adorable as yourself."
He nodded and rubbed his head some. "Perhaps i was....mistaken?" though he was only further proven right by Alphys which made him feel even more heavy hearted.
