Hide and seek ~Chapter two~

"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1" I opened my eyes and looked around, swiveling my ears around listening to the quiet giggles and laughs of my denmates. Me, icekit, Cinderkit and Ravenkit were playing hide and seek while lazy cloudkit was curled up next to his mother, Silverdapple. "He's as lazy as a cloud drifting through the sky, Silverdapple chose his name well" I think as I run out of the nursery looking for the other kits. The sweet scent of morning dew and wet grass hit my nose and I fought the urge to roll around in the grass, I had a game to win. The camp was currently full of mixed pelts of my clanmates, I recognized the sleek pelt of Blackrose, the deputy, organizing patrols for the morning. I padded closer and I heard her meow, "Thrushfeather I want you to lead a border patrol with Vipertooth, Mothfur, Beewing and Bluefire down to the Stormclan border, Russetclaw and Stormpaw said they had scented something strange and I want you five to check it out" Darkrose meowed and the five cats she called stood up and padded past me and out of camp, I watched their muscles ripple under their thick sleek pelts and I purred happily, my clanmates were strong but one day I will be stronger! I thought as I turned away and padded off to find my mischievous denmates. I padded past my mother Ashspots, who was sitting close to my father Smokescar, their tails were twined as they watched me pad closer to them, love shining in their eyes. "Have you seen the other kits anywhere? I can't find them, we were playing hide and seek" I asked, padding closer and giving my father a nuzzle. "Use your nose Rainkit" he chuckled and I tilted my head then sniffed, all I could smell is dew and wet fur and I frowned earning a laugh from Ashspots. "Separate the scents" she purred and I breathed in deep, trying to separate Cinderkit's scent from the stench of wet fur. When I couldn't get the scents separated I looked up at my mother and father, my ears folded back. Ashspots leaned down and licked me between the ears, "Your mentor will teach you how to use your nose when your an apprentice in two moons" she told me and I nodded. "Ok..." I sighed and bounded off to find the kits
