“Please, help her, she won't wake up!” I felt myself being placed on a table of some sort and I saw bright light behind my eyelids. “Please, the demon is gone and she won't wake up.”
“How do we know that he is gone? Hold the cross against her skin.” I felt something cold coming towards my arm. “No, do it on her head. It's more effective there.” I could feel Micheal hesitate. “Do you doubt your work, Micheal?”
“No.” He put the cross against my forehead, and I heard no sizzle and felt no pain. “See, he is gone from her. Wake her up and help her.” I felt a hand on my head.
“Child, I release you from your poisonous sleep. Awake, and feel no worry or toil.” My eyes fluttered open and I opened my eyes to a bright white room. Micheal came into focus and I smiled. “She is awake Micheal. And now that she isn't guarded by the demon, we no longer have need of you.” We both looked up at the man speaking.
“Father, you said that we would be together after I banished the thing. I don't understand.”
“You weren't suppose to interact with her. You were allowed to banish him, but you weren't suppose to converse with her. You broke the rules. You must deal with your punishment.” He turned to me and he scowled. “Your mother made a mistake when she married your father. Her second mistake was having you. You are not welcome in this order, now both of you, leave my sight.” Micheal lifted me off of the table and stood me on my feet.
“Come on Clarah, let's go.” We started to walk out, but Micheal's father grabbed my arm. I turned to him and saw that his face belonged to the demon. He smiled and I screamed.
I woke up to Micheal shaking me. “Hey, did you have that dream again?” I nodded and he hugged me. “I just don't get how my father could be the one you saw the face in. I would think that you would've seen it in me. All of that happened, you just don't remember the banishing of him. But again, the interaction with my father was so brief. I just don't get it.”
“Do you know everything about your father?” He shook his head and he pulled away. “Yeah, niether did I. I don't even know anything about my mum.”
“You do, you just don't know it.” I looked up and he smiled. “You and I both know your mom, she's someone very close to you that should have been in your dream.” I looked at his bed on the other side of the room, to see that it was already made. It was a clear that he had been up for quite some time, and that he had already showered, dressed, and made his bed. Sally had offered him to stay here since he was banished from the Angel court for helping me.
“Well, she has finally woken up?” Sally walked in and handed us both a cup of tea. She sat down next to me on the bed and wrapped her arm around my shoulders. “Same dream?” I nodded and she allowed me to lean on her shoulder. “Have you gotten any farther in where you stand with this dream?” I shook my head and she sighed sadly. “Okay. Guys, I have to go to work, there's some waffles in the freezer when you guys are hungry. I will see you at three okay?” We nodded and she smiled, walking out of the room. I heard her shut the door as she left, and I looked at Micheal.
“So, what to do today until three? Any ideas?” He shook his head and then handed me a towel.
“Maybe you should start with taking a shower and getting dressed. You stink.” I hit him with the towel and he laughed like a little kid. Even though we were sixteen, we still acted like five year olds at times, and I think that's why Sally allowed us to stay with her, because we weren't like every other teen in the world who had intense drama problems. And she didn't need any intense drama.
“Fine, I'll go take a shower. You go get some waffles for breakfast. I'll be about ten minutes.” He nodded and went down the stairs and I got some clothes out of my dresser.
