Chapter 3

    My stomach grumbled as our Science teacher, Mr.Brandon, nagged his way through the entire period. Yawning, i nudged Chelsea in the arm, 

"cheesecake afer this?" i asked 

"yes!!" she replied ever so loudly our teacher glared at us.

Science was the only class i had today, thus we went for cheesecake as promised. Stepping into the cafe, the smell of roasted coffee beans filled the air which Chelsea loved. Ordering a cheesecake, A cup of iced latte, and a glass of milk tea, we settled down near the window of the small cafe, glancing at the view. Breaking silence, Chelsea asked 

" Do you know Jessica Stellars? "

" Of course, whats up with her?" I replied, taking a bite of my cheesecake

" She seems to be close to your best friend, Jayden lately. Are they a thing??" she asked

"I don't think so, Jay obviously did not tell me about it, that douche" i said rolling my eyes

" She seems to be joining our Track and Field team too, which i have after this."Chelsea added with a sigh

I said nothing but nodded, wondering if Jay and her are actually a thing, but since the accident yesterday, she did not seem to like Jay a lot. With that, i shook the thought off .

" I got to go, training starts soon, don't wanna be late, catch ya later." said Chelsea as she walked out the cafe with her bag. 

Left alone, i took out my book and starting sketching as i took another sip of my milk tea. As a sudden person sat opposite where Chelsea once sat, no surprise it was Jay

" Alone again? Care for some accompany?" asked Jay ordering a cup of Iced Mocha, his favourite.

" Sure." i said, settling down my book, "so what's up?"

" Oh nothing, just wanted to catch up with my favourite bunny ." he replied grinning

" Yeah sure," i said rolling my eyes at him

" Are you free this weekend though?" he asked gulping his Mocha 

" Yes, why?" i replied

"Okay!! Meet you outside your dorm at 10, don't be late!!" he said as he left, to basketball i guess

Confused, i watched him leave , as i pack up and waited for Chelsea back at the dorm. Sitting at a tree branch, in my grey bunny form, i stared at the far away view, shouts coming from the school from what i guessed would be our school jocks, swaying my legs, i enjoyed the feeling. Spacing out, i thought of mom, i lost her years ago, though i still miss her very much, her food, her smile, her warm dark grey fur, and more... It's been months since I have payed a visit to her, she  was the only family member i had, now gone forever.... I remembered how Jayden and i would play till our hearts content and eat mom's delicious cooking, Jay always lived with his aunt that barely comes home, with that, mom always took care of him as one, with that, he made a promise to do the same to me. Although Jay is only a few months older than i am, he seems so much more mature, when i get into bully fights, he'd always stood up for me, like an elder brother. Though mom did question me if I would consider Jay as my other half, I blushed crimson, but rejected as i was young, taking my eyes to him then, i still wonder myself too...

      Jayden broke my thought as he climbed the tree in his wolf form , shaking it violently, 

"Something in those long ears of yours??" he questioned

"No why??" i replied, confused, lost

" I was yelling your name for what felt like decades." he answer

" I'm sorry, i was just thinking about something..." i replied

" Is it aunty again??" he asked , reading my mind,

I'm not surprised anymore, we knew each other far too long, with that, i simply nodded in agreement.

" Don't worry, she's  in a better place now" he said smiling. 

" I wonder if she's looking at me from heaven in disappointment, since the day she left," i said, sighing

" Why would she? I'm sure she's happy to see her daughter all grown up , nice and beautiful, she might be  smiling brightly from heaven right now." he replied 

" You think?? " i asked, feeling slightly better.

"Absolutely !!" he answered instantly. Putting a warm arm over me , patting my back, he too glancing at the far away view where my eyes lay their interest on.
