Everything Precious Must Be Covered

Buried deep down under the ground.

Is where I shall be found.

You cannot get to me easily.

Through digging and mining it shall be.

"What am I?" you question.

"Why was I covered in soil? Ton after ton?"

"Why was I hidden in the womb of the earth?"

"Why did you have to go through a long and tiring search?"

"I am special" I simply say.

"I am not yours" now look away.

A sparkling beauty I am, no doubt.

You are bedazzled; words fail to come out of your mouth.

I am like no other.

The more you stare the more to you I look prettier and prettier...

I am a Diamond. I am precious.

You stare at me motionless.

This is why precious things must be kept covered.

I am found deep down at the bottom of the ocean.

Covered and protected in a beautiful shell.

A round, white and delicate sphere.

Shiningly pure and sparkling like a tear.

I am nothing else, but a pearl.

An angelic classy beautiful pearl.

Winning the hearts of girl after girl.

Sure enough you need not be told.

Precious I am beautiful and bold.

This is all I can say, the reason why I am kept covered

To your dismay.

What am I? I am gloriously golden.

And sometimes known as the noble metal.

At all times I shimmer and dazzle.

Most charming am I, it makes you baffled.

Everybody wants me, and allegedly needs me.

But to get to me, you must pay a large fee.

Where am I found though?

Up, up or down below?

I am gold.

And where I am found you shall be told.

Way way down under the mine.

Covered under layers and layers of rock.

I am gold.

Precious am I.

This is why I am kept covered from your greedy selves and eyes.

Everything precious our lord created is covered and hard to get to.

Our beauty is hidden from you.

"Why do I wear the Hijab?" is what I am repeatedly told.

So let me tell you; I am worth much more than any diamond, pearl or gold

I am precious. I am special.

This is why my beauty is kept hidden
