It was just another normal day for Team Rocket. They were getting bored, having not sighted the twerps yet, and thinking it was around lunchtime.
"You know Jessie, I think it may be time to get something to eat, don't you think?" James suggested to Jessie.
Jessie replied, "Well that would be nice, but we are totally broke.", whilst getting out their wallet and opening it to prove that nothing came out of it.
"Well, don't you think it is a little odd that we can borrow thousands of PokéDollars to assemble a great robot that always blows up, but we never have enough for a simple meal?" put in Meowth.
"You know, Jessie, he does have a point... But I don't think Giovanni will let us borrow any more money - even with the slight time in the spotlight we've had recently!" said James.
Jessie said, "Well this will cheer you up - I've spotted the twerps! 12 o' clock!"t
"And 12 o' clock means lunch time, right?"
"Well, I suppose our plan could be to act nice, say we repent and all that, and then whilst they are giving us food we could - wait, what's that over there? It kind of looks like a Meowth!"
"Well of course there is a Meowth - I am sitting right here, you know!"
"I know that, but there is another one over there, I swear!
All the members looked over to the supposed Meowth, and saw that it was indeed real.
"So there is one indeed... Wait, I recognise that Meowth! But surely, it couldn't be..."
Those were the very last words that Jessie and James ever heard Meowth say before he mysteriously disappeared with a haze of red. Upon noticing this, they grew extremely alarmed and began to frantically search for Meowth, before Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie crashed into them.
"Hey, watch where you're - wait, you're the twerps! Get lost!" Said Jessie, annoyed.
"Wait!" Cut in James. "They could be helpful!"
"Helpful with what? Making you blast off? Now that can be arranged..."
"Please! No! Meowth just randomly disappeared! We need your help in finding him!"
"Uh huh. And Meowth is not going to pop out the ground in a huge machine and steal all our Pokémon any second?" Ash said sarcastically.
"No! We speak the truth! Please help us!"
Grudgingly, the heroes started to help Team Rocket search for their lost Pokémon. The haze of red concerned Team Rocket - Jessie believed it to be blood, whereas James thought it looked more like that kind of light you get in a Poké Ball when recalling the Pokémon. Both of these scenarios troubled the duo greatly, and they lost track of time so much that they didn't know the twerps had made a sneaky exit.
"Those little brats! I'm going to teach them a lesson someday! A lesson they shall never forget!" Jessie blurted out.
With no Meowth to settle the dispute between them, James argued that she was being too violent, and it escalated so quickly that in a minute or so they were both lying back to back, covered in scratches and bruises. However, it also cooled down fairly quickly, so they were soon apologising profusely to each other. Happy once more, they set out to find Meowth.
