(A/N: Yay for edgy-overused chapter titles! No Sans T.T..... cri. Be patient, he shall come. )
Underfell? You ask. Is that an alternate Undertale? You feel the cold again and wrap your arms around yourself in attempt to gain warmth.
You could say that.. They stated. W-Wait, (Y-Y/N)! Where are you going! They screeched as you started idly walking away.
Ow. You winced in pain. Your leg must of gotten injured this time....Odd.. You thought biting back the feeling of unease. I'm....Going to find answers. You say, not even turning your head to look at them.
This room.
You remembered what happens here. Or, at least, what happens here in your universe.
You stood your ground while Chara gave you a look of dissaproval. Y-Y/N...They're all crazy here! You would be safer back there! You heard her growl at you quietly. You just shrugged, taking a few steps forward.
It wasn't long until you came across the oh-so-familiar flower. Except...He was no longer familiar. Flowey had his stem turned to face away from you. His petals looked worn down and ripped, as if some sort of beast had mauled him beforehand. You heard quiet noises erupting from the flower. Is he....sobbing? You asked to no one in particular.
He must of heard your feet shuffle as he whipped around franticly to face you, his beady eyes wide and filled with tears.
He had been crying after all.
"H-Human...?!" He shrieked. His voice seemed softer, despite his volume. "I...Puh...Please." He started backing away from you, eyes laced with fear.
You glance over your shoulder at Chara, who glances back, shrugging.
You take a few steps forward, reaching your arm towards the flower.
"N...N-Nuh, P-please human! D...Don't K-" He froze as your hand came into contact with his petals and closed his eyes.
You skimmed your fingers over the petal surface. They felt just as tattered as they looked.
"H-human?" "W...why aren't you attacking me?" He recoiled a little from your touch.
"Attacking you?" You question. You feel your heart sink. First Chara is uneasy, and now flowey is afraid of you?? What is wrong with this place?!
MERCY
You press the button without hesitating. Flowey stares up at you questioningly, the fear beginning to disipate in his eyes. "Y..You're sparing me?" He asked, wiping his leaves over his eyes.
MERCY
You persist, pressing the button again. "W-Wow." "I've never been spared before..." He stated giving you a thankful look. Your grin faltered. He's Never been spared? You sputtered.
"W-Why do you want to spare me..?" He questioned suddenly.
"I'm a pacifst." You said proudly, puffing out your chest. I couldn't kill if I tried, you thought.
"....P-pacifist?" He spluttered, as if the word was foriegn to his tounge. "T-that's not good...well, I mean it is b-but not here..." He rambled, before you cut him off.
"What do you mean, not here?" You asked, folding your arms.
"T....They don't use mercy around here..." "If you try sparing them...they'll just.. k-kill you!" He stuttered.
"No." You said simply.
"N-no??" "What do you mean no?" (Y/N) are you insane? You heard both of them reply.
You believe that the worst person can change. That anyone can be a good person, if they just try. You feel a wave of feeling course through you.
The idea of saving this universe and returning back to your own. Fills you with
DETERMINATION.
UTSans POV
Where the heck are they?
He sighed. It's been far too long, he thought.
Usually the human wouldn't take more than half a day getting out of Toriel's place. Heck, not even quarter of a day.
He hated to admit it, but he was getting worried. The reset had caught him off gaurd. He was reading Paps his favourite bedtime story (Peekaboo with fluffy bunny) When the reset happened out of the blue. Usually Sans was prepared for the resets, as he could see the uneasyness and guilt in your eyes before you did so.
He hadn't seen the change in your demeanor this time. Maybe it was that spirit kid that forced them to reset.
The human had told him about her nightmares the night after we got out of the underground. This kid named "Chara" had been haunting them, telling them to reset and kill everyone. Sans had been reluctant in believing them, that was, until he saw the ghost kid for himself the same night.
This was his ultimate belief, until the day dragged on. It looked to be nightfall now, and he was especially worried. This isn't right. He thought. He felt an odd, cold breeze come through the trees. Any human would tell you that breezes are normal. Sans knew that in the underground, wind couldn't breeze through like that unless it was generated. Snowdin didn't have generators.
Something's way off.
