Chapter 3

(Okay, I'm really lazy, so time skip to when Will is in the hospital, after he gets back from the upside down, also Eleven is gone like in the show)
Mike's POV-
Everyone thinks it was dad and Joyce who saved Will, no, it was me and dad. I'm gonna tell Will that, he needs to know, Joyce said he downs remover much, so I'm gonna tell him, because I think Joyce told me he forgot. Dustin was asleep on Lucas' shoulder and Lucas was asleep and I was awake, then Joyce came into the room "he's awake." She then left, I woke up Lucas and Dustin and told them and they ran to his room. I followed them. They were already in there talking about Eleven, Will was listening and he looked so interested. I stood in the doorway and waited until he noticed me. "She made Troy pee his pants, it was hilarious!" Dustin said "really?! That's awesome!" Will said "yeah, but she also helped save you, it was pretty sweet to see what she did to that monster thing, it was amazing." Lucas said sadly, I know he liked her and he's really sad about her disappearing, but I know where she is. "Where's Mike?" Will finally said, "um, he followed us in here." Lucas said and turned around and saw me standing in the doorway, "oh, there he is." He said and I walked in, I could see something click in Will and he immediately smiled when he saw me. Maybe he was right when he said I brightened his day by just being in the same room as me. I couldn't help but smile at his smile, it was so adorable. "Hey." I said "that was unenthusiastic." Will said "fine would you like me to be like, hey Will, how are you, do you want any help, I'll go get your mom if you do!" I said enthusiastically and he laughed "I think we've talked enough, you guys can talk." Lucas said and him and Dustin walked out and shut the door. I immediately hugged Will. "I missed you so much." I said into his shoulder "I did to." He said and I let him go, "thank you." He said "for what?" I said "for saving me, you and Hopper." He said "oh, I thought you forgot about that." I said "no, honestly that hug was something I wanted for as long as I was in there, someone to give me a giant hug and never let go." He said with a smile on his face "so thank you, it really means a lot." He finished "no biggie, just saved my boyfriend, you know, the usual." I said and he laughed, should I tell him about the note, I should. "Hey, so I found the note in my jacket, and thank you, it made that day so much better." I said and he blushed a deep red "I thought you wouldn't find that." He said quietly "it's fine, because I feel the same way about all of that, I love you to." I said and he smiled while still blushing "I want to kiss you so bad, but I will wait." He said and I laughed "we have a campaign planned for three days after you get out of the hospital." I said "cool, I'll try and be there." He said, then the door opened and I saw dad walk in. "Hey guys." He said, okay, so when we saved Will and saw what I did when we finally woke him up, he asked about 'us', we told his everything, or I did and Will kinda nodded along because he couldn't really talk, so now dad is the only one who knows me and him at dating. "Hey." We both said "so, did you tell him Mike?" He said "no, I was getting to that." I mumbled "okay, I'm sorry, I'll let you continue." He said and walked out, I promised him that I would tell Will he was my dad. "Tell me what?" Will said "Hopper is my dad." I said "really?!" He said "yeah." I said "That's awesome!" He said "oh my god! I thought you'd be mad! Thank the lord your not! I couldn't stand is being mad at each other." I said and he chuckled "hey boys, I just got told that Will can go home today." Joyce said peeking her head through the door "yes!" Will said excitedly, he is probably excited to get to kiss me, but he's definitely excited about going home. I smiled "do I need to leave for a minute?" I said "probably, but once we are done with everything he's gonna be out there and we can go home." She said and I nodded and walked out, but right before I did "Mike, wait!" Will called, I turned around and he handed me another note. I walked out and into the waiting room and sat down. I opened up the note and saw it wasn't a note, it was a picture, not drawn, but a picture that me and him took one day and he glued it onto the paper. A picture of us hugging after I came back from a five month trip to see family, I didn't miss Lucas and Dustin nearly as much, and I could tell because I was crying when me and Will met up, and so was he, we'd missed each other so much. Then I saw a little thing that said that the picture wasn't glued, it was taped from the back, and if I took it off there'd be a note behind it. I did that, I took the picture off and read the note 'remember this, we were both crying, but when you were gone, all I could think about was when you were gonna get back, when was my big fat crush gonna get back from his five month trip to see family? I still can't believe my mom sneaked this picture of us hugging, I honestly thought it would've been Jonathan taking it, but whatever. But really, the entire time I was crying into your shoulder and you were crying into mine I was thinking that I couldn't ever be more happy to see you, this was a great day, and I hope you feel the same way.-Will, P.S I love you.' "Where do you keep getting these?" Lucas said and tried grabbing the paper to read it, I quickly pulled away but I accidentally dropped it, Lucas wen to pick it up but I stopped him but stepping on the paper. "Don't touch it." I said and picked it up, he put his handed up in defense and I out the picture back on it and folded it back up. I put it in my pocket and waited.
(Time skip to when Mike is at home)
Me and dad walked through the door and all the lights were off. I turned them on and then Will popped up from out of nowhere. I screamed and he fell on the floor of laughter. When he finally stopped laughing he said "surprise!" "No kidding, you scared the crap out of me!" I said and he chuckled "how did you get here?" Dad said "my mom dropped me off and I knocked on the door, I originally planned to just be sitting on the couch but your mom insisted I scare you, so I did that, both my mom and your mom were okay with this because of 'that one time'." He said referring to the time in the picture. "Well, that's explained why Jonathan rode with us and told us to do something else for a minute." I said "okay, I'm going to my room, you can do what you want." Dad said and went upstairs, me and Will went to the basement.
