Buranku and Shuí

5 years had passed since the two first met that meant they could leave the town and go to Kido Academy, a boarding school for magicians in training.
The two spoke the headmaster who accepted them in Buranku was placed in a room with 1 other boy. The boy had messy grey hair running down to the centre of his back. They never spoke since the boy was never willing to engage in conversation.

Meanwhile Shuí was in a room with 2 other girls Kara was a 14 year old girl yet about half the height of Shuí who was roughly 5'4". Kara had jade green eyes and long blonde hair. The other girl was 15 as well and stood at about 5'10" and had orange hair and light green eyes people called her 'Sukeido' but no one knew her real name nor found family records. The trio got on well.

Kido Academy kept students for 3 weeks by which they should have mastered one of the magic arts (healer, fire, water, wind, electricity, earth, light or dark).
It was the second Tuesday 12pm students sat in the mess hall eating lunch. Kara and Sukeido were in the dorm revising relics and their effects.

Shuí sat across from Buranku. "What item increases accuracy of fire spells?" Shuí asked him. "Um.... item item.... coal?" Buranku said confused. "Wrong Bura it's a dragon scale, and if you were awake in lesson you would know that!" Buranku laughed awkwardly "so you figured me out?" He chuckled. "Everyone did Bura you knocked your book over in your sleep" Shuí said becoming more agitated. "Okay Shu I'll be more serious next lesson" Buranku said backing away from her.

The graduation had finally arrived Buranku had passed light and fire tests while Shuí passed water, fire, earth, air, healing and electricity. Everyone congratulated her for being the first to master 6 different types of magic in 3 weeks.

"Hey Shuí how about we travel together... I mean we both like each other's company right?" Buranku asked . "That depends, if I say no will you cry and follow me around like a stray puppy until I cave?" She said teasing him. He stayed silent glaring at her "you know I'm kidding Bura let's go!"

Buranku and Shuí walked down a dirt path towards an open field. Shuí looked down heartbroken because this field was where her mother was murdered.
