Buranku was struggling to cook he kept burning guests breakfast, serving hot beverages cold and cold beverages hot. Shuí's father, Dan, was a giant man with black hair and purple eyes he yelled at Buranku every time he messed up a soup order or spilt soup on his guests laps. On the 17th mistake Dan had finally had enough. "Buranku please get out and find a job" as Buranku walked out the door Dan muttered "low class scum".

The streets were busy Buranku was pushed and shoved as upperclass citizens rudely barged into him. Buranku darted to the side to escape the crowd upon doing this he noticed an old building with a faded sign in the window Buranku could just make out what it read. The sign said 'help wanted: must be able to use magic. Must be under 19. Must be able to travel far.' This job was perfect for him he walked in and saw a shrivelled up old man with a long grey beard. The elderly man gave a gesture telling Buranku to come to him.

Later that night when all guests had fallen asleep Shuí was waiting for Buranku to come back. His dinner was left on the table. She starred out the window praying he'd be okay.

The sun slowly began to rise Buranku walked in and noticed Shuí sleeping on the table. He wrapped a blanket around her and drowsily walked to his room where he fell asleep for hours. It was midday Shuí looked inside Buranku's room seeing if he had returned while she was sleeping he was layed on his bed clothes torn and staff chipped. His face was scratched and his left arm was bleeding. Shuí wrapped a piece of cloth soaked in antiseptic around the wound and left him lying in his bed for tables needed to be cleaned before her uncle came to visit.
